Ingredients

๐Ÿ— 2 x 32 oz cartons chicken broth or stock
๐Ÿฏ 1 heaping tablespoon Better Than Bouillon Organic Roasted Chicken Base

๐Ÿ— 3 cups shredded chicken breast
๐Ÿฅš 2 cups egg noodles
๐Ÿ‹ 1 lemon for juice, plus wedges for garnish
๐ŸŒฟ Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped for garnish

Instructions

1- Prepare the Base:

  • In a large pot or Dutch oven white enamel interior, light grey exterior melt the butter with the olive oil over medium heat.

2- Cook Vegetables:

  • Add the chopped onion, celery, and carrots.
  • Cook for 6โ€“8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are softened and fragrant.

3- Add Garlic and Ginger:

  • Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger.

4- Add Spices:

  • Add the turmeric, garlic powder, black pepper, paprika, and thyme.
  • Stir well and let the spices toast for 30โ€“60 seconds to deepen their flavor.

5- Add Broth:

  • Pour in both 32 oz cartons of chicken broth.

6- Dissolve Bouillon:

  • Add the heaping tablespoon of Better Than Bouillon and stir until fully dissolved.

7- Season with Salt:

  • Add 1 teaspoon of salt.

8- Add Chicken:

  • Add the shredded chicken.
  • Stir to combine.

9- Simmer Soup:

  • Cover the pot and let the soup simmer for 15โ€“20 minutes.

10- Cook Noodles:

  • Stir in the egg noodles.
  • Simmer uncovered for 8โ€“10 minutes, or until the noodles are tender.

11- Finish with Lemon:

  • Turn off the heat and stir in the fresh juice from one lemon.
