So, I'm out today for my night walk. I don't have a specific date set out for my night walks. I just go out at random. Any day the spirit leads, in off. And when the spirit says seat at home, I'm seated. For the records, I'm writing this while walking on the road. I feel good writing on the road, though I'm very very sensitive to my surroundings.
I don't have random thoughts going through my head at the moment. I just got to Abia tower from my house and I can't help it but think about the politics if Abia state.
One thing about me is that, I don't like politics. My political apathy started a long time ago, even before I became a student in the higher institution. I know what you're thinking. You're prolly thinking - "but Harris, in your previous post, you talked about how you were the senate president of your school and how you also hosted elections." Yes, this is true, but then, I didn't do it to be a ruling party or something, rather, I did it to alleviate any form of electoral malpractice and governmental corruption. After achieving my goals, I stepped down without thinking twice.
The major reason behind my political apathy is governmental corruption. I hate it to the core as it boils my blood. I could do anything to stop it. And I know this will give me more enemies if I eventually become a politician, so, instead of gathering political enemies, it's better to totally avoid politics.
Lately, my views on political corruption was changed by the current Governor of Abia state, H.E Alex Otti. This man has proven to the people of Abia that not only Abia state, but Nigeria in General can become better if the government look into her citizens. He's the best governor of all time. And sometimes, due to how perfect his leadership is, I do wish I am from Abia state. You can Google the good things he's done for the people of Abia.
Anyways that's that about politics. During my walk, I took a short break in a suya joint. Oh how I love fresh looking suya. For those that don't know, suya is beef that's boiled and then grilled while wrapped with pepper, and some other spices. Some suyas are not boiled and are just grilled while some are boiled.
Though people do say that the Hausas (those known for making suya) do use human meat for suya, I still love suya nonetheless. Since I started eating suya, there has never been anytime it tasted creepy. It has always tasted like beef. So, in a minute, I'll be downing this suya with a cold yoghurt.
That's all from me, thank you for reading.
