Ashveil Tactician
We are about a week & a half away from the brand spanking new Splinterlands Mini Set being released, and I couldn’t be more excited. Escalation!!!
It always feels like Christmas morning when there’s a big event popping off in this crazy land of Praetoria, and I’m ready to rip shit open!!!
There are 43 new cards coming our way to wreak havoc on the current meta, and I’ve been lucky enough to be one of the dopes selected to reveal one of these badboys.
So without further ado, I present to you one of the 12 Rare cards you’ll be able to pull in Escalation packs…
🗡️ ASHVEIL TACTICIAN 🗡️
Ashveil Tactician | Fire Splinter | 4 ManaThis Fire Splinter card will be a must in low mana battles, as it is fairly cheap at just 4 Mana. This fierce beauty has no initial attack, but is sitting with 2 Shield, 4 Health, and a decent 3 Speed out of the gate.
But things get interesting when you start leveling this firecracker up as it’s loaded to the flames 🔥 with some juicy abilities, so let’s dive into all of that fun.
At level 2, you’ll combine 5 cards to take advantage of Inspire. This will give all of those brave allied warriors standing alongside ya, a +1 to their Melee attack.
Level 4, things get spicy as you combine 25 of these. This will bump up your Speed to a 4, Shield to a 3, & Health to a 5. It’ll also activate the Pinpoint Ability. This means that any allied sneak attacks cannot miss. Caliente!!!!
Oh, you are a bigshot who’s buying tons of packs to take advantage of those juicy promos?!? Then I guess you’ll for sure be combining 60 cards total to get to Level 6. That’s when you get some decent defense added in the mix with Magic Reflect. This will damage the Magic attacker by returning 50% of delivered damage, right back at em. Take that you Magical Mofo’s!!! Speed & Shield stay the same from the level 4, but your Health beefs up with a fairly hefty 7.
For all you so called champions out there, you’ll be permanently burning 115 of these to Max it out at a Level 10. This allows even more growth with Shield staying the same, but seeing Speed cap out at a 5, while Health sees a massive increase to 9. It also brings the Shield Ward Ability in play. This will allow the unit placed in front of the Tactician, to gain Shield at the start of the battle.
All in all, a fine addition that I look forward to Maxing out. Who knows, maybe one of you will pull a Black Foil Arcane…
Have fun cracking your Escalation packs on February 10th!!! Good luck, Godspeed, and as always…VoNaK!
