For the last 2 months I have been missing the Sea air while I was in India, so thought of going for a walk to the waterfront. Ideally, I like to go in the evening time, but right now the weather is amazing, and day time the views at the waterfront are also very good. The beauty of the day time visit is that I can see the blue turquoise color of the water which at night time is not visible. Otherwise the night views are good to see the lights around and it feels like all glittery.
These are the boats of the olden days; they are used now to give boat rides. Taking it is experiencing the old traditional ways of the city. It's a wooden boat, and is called as the Dhow boat, and normally it is advertised as Dhow Cruise. A lot of people fancy it, but I do not like it because it's very shaky in the waters, it does not have as much of stability as the normal other big cruise boats. Too much shakiness gives me a headache so I avoid this one.
Nice views, the harbor has been constantly expanding in the last few years and the number of boats are increasing.

This is the type of boat that I would prefer for a ride. It has stability and does not shake like the Dhow

Right now it's the tourist season so if one has to take a ride, it needs to be booked much in advance else last minute availability may become a challenge, especially if one wants to visit some of the popular islands. I do have a island trip coming up in the next 2 weeks, and I am excited about it.
