Guitars & Synths 🎹 & Pure Influential Music! 🎶 1978 & 1979 Tunes From Public Image & Joy Division & Gary Numan! + Bonus Tune from Siouxsie & The Banshees! These Bands Heavily Shaped What Was Coming Soon In The Eighties & Beyond!

It’s a little early but I finished post so let’s get this thing out on Monday afternoon ! 🎸
On this Three Tune Tuesday for February 3rd 2026, I’m picking Three Tunes from Three legendary bands! The pioneers of the post punk scene! First up it’s Joy Division and the 1979 tune “Disorder”. Second up it’s Public Image Limited or PIL, with the song “Public Image” This Is Johnny The Frontman From Sex Pistols next band! Third up it’s Gary Numan & a song also from 1979 titled “Down In The Park.

Three bands who were ultra influential to the New Wave & Post Punk sounds to come in the eighties. Bands like U2 took the guitar sounds from Public Image and can be heard on first U2 record. Synth bands were influenced by Gary Numan & his being pioneer in using synth sounds. Joy Division maybe the most influential of all three! Enjoy the tunes friends ⬇️
