How DEI Destroyed Hollywood Movies

The way Hollywood used to work was: young men were inspired by the movies they loved as children and created new movies based on those vibes. But when DEI hit Hollywood, the Millennial generation of young white men were prevented from writing/directing movies. They were replaced with women and POC, who did not love the movies of the past and only wanted to subvert them.

Any original ideas the DEIs had were terrible and would bomb at the box office. But if they made remakes and sequels of popular franchises of the past, the brand alone would get people in the theater, even if the movie sucked—even if it subverted everything fans loved about the original, replacing characters with a DEI cast and subverting the message to be gay race communism.

White male Boomers and GenXers were grandfathered into the system and allowed to continue making movies—as long as it contained "The Message." If not, like Mel Gibson and S. Craig Zahler, good luck finding funds for your next project.

DEI Hollywood hired not just the new writers/directors for movies and TV shows, but also the producers and executives who decide what gets funded and made (like Kathleen Kennedy). Unlike creatives of the past who made new movies based on the old movies they loved, the woke-era “creatives” simply remade the old movies—but subverted the message to make the vibes more woke.

After years of woke movie slop, Hollywood has burned away the good will from their popular franchises (like Star Wars) so that even they now bomb at the box office. Smart creative Millennial white men existed in the 20-teens (such as Sam Hyde), and they could/should have been making artistically creative and culturally relevant TV shows and movies that people loved, but they were excluded from the system because of DEI policies. So instead all we got was woke remake slop.

Hollywood will now have to end DEI and let young white men make great original movies again, or else the whole system will crash and burn. Then again, maybe Hollywood needs to crash and burn. Young white men will build new art from the ashes.
