In the remote, dusty corners of rural Yemen, a simple plastic bag containing basic medicine is worth more than gold. It signifies the difference between suffering and relief, and sometimes, between life and death. As a doctor working on the ground here, I witness scenes like the one in this photo every single day. I stand before a 5-year-old child whose body is worn out by illness and poverty, barefoot and fragile. Beside him stands his mother, carrying the weight of the world—and her infant—in her arms. Her eyes, visible through her niqab, tell a story of resilience but also of desperate need. These families live in small mud-brick houses, often without access to clean water or basic healthcare. The poverty here is extreme, and many cannot afford a single packet of antibiotics or painkillers. My Mission with Ecency: I am turning to the compassionate community of Ecency and Hive to help bridge this gap. My goal is to use the rewards and donations from this post to purchase essential medicines and distribute them free of charge to the poorest families in my village and surrounding areas. How You Can Help: Upvote & Reblog: Your interaction alone generates rewards that will be converted into medicine. Donate: Any liquid HIVE or HBD sent to my account will go 100% towards the pharmacy bill for these patients. Let’s prove that borders do not limit humanity. Together, we can put medicine in their hands and hope in their hearts. Thank you for being their lifeline.
