Hello Everyone I'm @flawless-dee and although I'm just 8 months into this amazing blogchain, I believe the narration of my little experience so far would be hints that hits greatly, some are things you've already known, heard or have been told before but I'd still point them out.

I joined Hive in May 2025 as a complete beginner. At that time, everything felt exciting and confusing at the same time. I wanted to be everywhere, do everything, and join almost every community I came across. With time, experience, and a few mistakes, I learned important lessons that I believe can help new users grow better and avoid frustration.

1. Choose Communities with Purpose As a newbie, I joined many communities, including those I knew nothing about. That was a wrong move. Hive works better when you focus. Join communities that relate to your skills, interests, or daily activities. Keep them few and stay consistent. Consistency builds trust, and trust attracts growth and support.

2. Originality Is Not Optional Hive does not tolerate plagiarism. Any post you make should be original and backed with evidence when needed. If you are sharing an activity, show clear pictures and include yourself in them. Your face is your identity on Hive. Being real helps readers trust you. Also, posting the same write-up in two different communities, even if it is your own work, is still seen as plagiarism. I've been a victim to this, that's why I'm emphasizing, I've had my posts flagged at least up to four times.

3. Take Contests Seriously Participating in contests has helped me grow in confidence and visibility. Contests push you to think better, write better, and meet new people. Even when you do not win, you still gain experience and connections.

4. Study Before You Post Before joining or posting in any community, take time to read their rules, activity logs, and guidelines. Do not rush to post just because you want votes. Jumping from one community to another shows desperation and lack of direction. I focus on contests in three communities, and the experience has been rewarding.

5. Engage to Grow On Hive, no one grows alone. Comment, support others, and be active in community activities. If you act like an island, growth will be very slow.

6. Be Patient with the Process Wealth and recognition do not come overnight. Hive requires patience, consistency, and hard work. When you rush, you burn out quickly.

7. Protect Your Keys Your keys are your access to Hive. Never expose them. Losing them means losing your account.

8. Use a Frontend You Understand Choose a frontend that works best for you. I use Hive through Chrome because I understand it better. Comfort improves consistency.

This one is kinda optional but very important, Attend seminars if hosted by those who signed you up or helped you join the Blogchain, it's very important because there are things you'd learn better through physical meetups/seminars.

I hope you find these few tips helpful Thanks for reading โœŒ๏ธ
