    Posting for Peanuts

With the current price of Hive and little prospect for it rising, it pretty much feels like posting for payout isn't really worth it, these days.

That is, unless you earn loads ( have plenty of whale friends/ whale auto votes ) and/or live in the cheapest of countries in the world.

The days that I thought I could live off my blogging are far behind me (Probably the bull market of 2017, when I had only been active for a handful of months on the platform that I left when the fork to Hive took place. Remember Steemit? )

Interestingly enough, despite Hive's current value, I seem to feel more motivated than ever to post more frequently on here. Especially since the start of this year

Sharing my writing on here is still pretty good therapy and much needed in these difficult times.

Let's be honest, whether it's fake news or not, there is a lot of drama going on in the world and we are all feeling it.

So even though I am sitting here in the same bar where I wrote and shared yesterday's Potato Power post and the payout of this post will likely not cover the bill ( 4 glasses of spumante, sparkling white wine ), I will keep going.

It also helps that the peanuts are free, at least. They come with the drink.

And I believe that these drinks are on @clareartista , as she went to this same bar, earlier today, to do some Internet things and forgot her wallet. So, after late lunch, she proposed to walk to the bar, again and have a drink. How could I say no?

We might share our finances, it is still nice to be treated :>)

She is doing some needleworking/sewing ( more on that project in her needlework Monday post ) and I decided to make use of the opportunity to write an article.

I appreciate you all! Especially those who manually upvote and those who comment even more.

Keep sharing your stories and keep your heads up. Life is still very beautiful if you manage to focus on the right stuff

And then, when I was about to push 'Publish', we were offered a piece of apple cake. Yummy!

I stopped worrying about votes and the price of Hive. I am just here for the community. I love reading others blogs. I love learning about others and their parts of the world. It is also therapy for me to write and let some of my htoughts lose on screen.

Keep on writing. It's really a good therapy. 😇 Honestly, since I onboarded here 3 months ago, I have almost forgotten to post in my main/usual social media accounts because I'm just always excited on Hive platform due to my passion on writing. Even if I only write my blogs by chance, I'm always trying my best to have at least 1 or 2 blogs per day. I just want to be consistent, regardless if less to no one is able to read my posts. That's fine with me, no issues at all. 😊

I have been active on her for 8 and a half years and am not planning to stop :^)

I made friends all over the world and even found my life partner ( @clareartista ) on here and moved countries to be with her.

Hive is quite a special place for many reasons and the writing is only a small part of it.

Keep going! Before you know it, you will reach your one year anniversary ;^)

I feel this! It has been a while since I could really rely on Hive as a side hustle. But, to be honest, when I was using Hive for an income I started to feel a bit un authentic. Now I am only posting when I feel like it, which means that I dont get as many views as when i was posting 3/4 times a week. The prices are so low that Hive has become one of the many social media spots I visit from time to time but, I can say that it is the most supportive community!!

Same though it's more just blogging in general after I decided to micro my progblogs (I still want to share them but as I'm still building characters and clothes I've kind of run out of ways to say the same things about the same problems so posting them was getting harder and harder as they were taking longer and longer to compose).

Although as I keep saying I never know what the price is doing til I see people writing about it and even then I still don't care XD I did think it was kind of funny that I saw "peanuts in both this post title and in @adamada's two posts over on my screen :) (I use the grid display normally and the "blog" display when I try to deal with the all topics page because there's way too much going on there).

Yay for bonus apple cake xD

Yeah dude I hear you. The price is in the dumps which sucks for a few reasons. I think it is a great time to spend more time engaging in content here, writing and all that. I think that the things we earn when we are circling the drain are going to be worth more if things turn around and head in the opposite direction.

I actually happened upon a post of mine a few years ago which was uncommon, it was valued at 36$! Seeing that these days would make me fall off my chair lol.

Sorry if I don't get to see all of your posts man, but if they're in here I should :D

                  Grazie, amico!

I think I once made 100 Hive dollars with a post when HBD ( or back then, Steem Dollar ) temporarily pumped to 8 dollars ( stablecoin my *** ! ). I opened a Bittrex account - took me 2 days to get it working - and tried to get some money out while the price was quickly going down. I started dreaming of earning good money from posting alone.

In hindsight, this was the most I ever earned on here and a mere glitch in the matrix ( during the bullmarket of 2017 ).

I'm still here though, 8+ years later and it is people like you that keep me going.

                  Cheers!

Cheers man! I'm nearing 8 years myself :D. It for suuuuuure is a lot more enjoyable with good people around us! I like Hive more with Vincenzo's around, that's for sure!

The tribulations of trying to pull the money out in time lol the life being in crypto!
