With the current price of Hive and little prospect for it rising, it pretty much feels like posting for payout isn't really worth it, these days.
That is, unless you earn loads ( have plenty of whale friends/ whale auto votes ) and/or live in the cheapest of countries in the world.
The days that I thought I could live off my blogging are far behind me (Probably the bull market of 2017, when I had only been active for a handful of months on the platform that I left when the fork to Hive took place. Remember Steemit? )
Interestingly enough, despite Hive's current value, I seem to feel more motivated than ever to post more frequently on here. Especially since the start of this year
Sharing my writing on here is still pretty good therapy and much needed in these difficult times.
Let's be honest, whether it's fake news or not, there is a lot of drama going on in the world and we are all feeling it.
So even though I am sitting here in the same bar where I wrote and shared yesterday's Potato Power post and the payout of this post will likely not cover the bill ( 4 glasses of spumante, sparkling white wine ), I will keep going.
It also helps that the peanuts are free, at least. They come with the drink.
And I believe that these drinks are on @clareartista , as she went to this same bar, earlier today, to do some Internet things and forgot her wallet. So, after late lunch, she proposed to walk to the bar, again and have a drink. How could I say no?
We might share our finances, it is still nice to be treated :>)
She is doing some needleworking/sewing ( more on that project in her needlework Monday post ) and I decided to make use of the opportunity to write an article.
I appreciate you all! Especially those who manually upvote and those who comment even more.
Keep sharing your stories and keep your heads up. Life is still very beautiful if you manage to focus on the right stuff
And then, when I was about to push 'Publish', we were offered a piece of apple cake. Yummy!
