If you are familiar with my Saturday morning actifit posts you will know I really just can't wait for Saturday morning lads!
You know that sacred ritual of rolling up to the pitch still half-asleep, coffee breath and all, but the second the ball drops it's pure vibes.
We do proper 5-a-side set gameplay with 10 minutes interval. Teams picked the fairest way known to man which is the ballot system. Names in a bag (or phone randomiser when someone's feeling techy), drawn out two by two, no cherry-picking, no "I'll captain and choose my mates" nonsense.
Everyone gets a squad, everyone gets to play, zero complaints. Keeps it square and drama-free. Well, this is not until someone inevitably starts trash-talking their own teammate 30 seconds in and trust me nothing beats that mix.
Today I hope to help my team get as many wins as possible because victory is all that matters at the end of the day . Playing football keeps me active and helps me stay active . I won't trade times like this is the opportunity arises.
