(Just found another penetrated by a beaver tree picture in my photo collection from last saturday.)
Hi Actifitters,
after another relatively short night, I got in the saddle fairly early to complete the upcoming sprint session. To my surprise, Garmin changed the plans again at the last minute, and the one-hour sprint workout suddenly became a two-hour base training session.
I thought, "What the heck," and started pedaling. Since my legs were still quite sore from the long march on Saturday, I took it easy and skipped side quests and the like. My goal was simply to stay in Zone 2.
Here are the training numbers:
Duration - 1:57:01 Distance - 75.56 km Average speed - 38.7 km/h Maximum speed - 44.0 km/h Average power output - 116 watts Maximum power output - 118 watts Average heart rate - 115 bpm Maximum heart rate - 128 bpm Average cadence - 104 Maximum cadence - 127
In addition to the cycling workout, Garmin also included a 25-minute full-body circuit training session in my schedule. Since I can no longer do strength training due to my shoulder and elbow problems, this is always a welcome change. I still need to familiarize myself with many of the suggested exercises, but that will come with time.
Today I'll probably have a sprint session. Once I'm done with that, I'll give my bike and smart trainer a bit of a clean and disassemble everything to take it to the bike shop around the corner this evening. They'll fit a new chain and sprocket set tomorrow. Hopefully, that will finally solve my annoying gear shifting problem, and I can finally make full use of my indoor cycling setup.
