En esta ocasión la imagen me trae recuerdos de que en la entrada de Carúpano esta un tesoro de la naturaleza, la laguna de las salinas de Copey, que está antes de llegar a la ciudad, al lado de la carrrtera troncal 9, en el estado Sucre, Venezuela. Donde hay una gran cantidad de aves entre Garzas, patos salvajes , flamencos y otra aves que están en esa región costera. Lo que más me llama la atención son los flamencos, con sus picos característicos, porque son de un color rosado bellísimo, son aves zancudas, porque tienen las patas largas y caminan con un estilo único, dentro de las aguas de la Laguna, buscando qué comer; también hay otras especies de garzas, de un color rojo intenso, que las conocemos como las corocoras, ellas son unos animales preciosos, elegantes, muy peculiares, pues se ven majestuosos con el plumaje de un exquisito rojo encendido, que llama muchísimo la atención. Y cuando vuelan se ven espectaculares las parvadas de aves, es una nube que entre blanco, rosado y rojo intenso, es muy bonito el espectáculo que nos da la madre naturaleza. Los flamencos son aves zancudas acuáticas, que viven en estuarios salinos o alcalinos, donde se encuentran manglares y marismas, donde estén llenos de sus alimentos predilectos, como las microalgas, crustáceos, gusanos, insectos y plancton, estos alimentos los ayudan a tener ese color característico del plumaje rosado vibrante y colorido. Las corocoras también son llamadas ibis escarlata, son aves zancudas, que comen camarones y crustáceos rojos que le proporcionan ese especial tono de su plumaje, que los busca uniendo su picó curvo en em fango de los humedales y lagunas donde habita junto a su numerosa familia, aunque es una especie en protección menor, hay que cuidarlas porque se población está decreciendo drásticamente.
