Lately, I've been taking my hiking adventures more seriously, and I mean I've been focusing more on achieving my goals than on taking pictures, but I still intend to make it a daily activity. I generally prefer hiking alone, and when I do it with my friends, it's a big challenge, since they're the ones who have helped me love this routine and make it a discipline in my life; but with my wife, I can always cheat a little 😅 With her, everything is always better, and even our surroundings tend to be more beautiful than usual.
Últimamente he tomado más en serio mis aventuras de senderista, y me refiero a que me he enfocado más en lograr mis metas que en tomar fotografías, pero sigo pretendiendo hacer de esta una actividad diaria. En general prefiero subir en solitario, y cuando lo hago con mis amigos representa un gran reto, ya que son las personas que me han llevado a amar esta rutina y ha volverla una disciplina en mi vida; pero con mi esposa siempre puedo hacer algo de trampa 😅 Con ella todo siempre es mejor y hasta lo que nos rodea suele ser más hermoso que de costumbre.
Inevitably, we begin to see those small colors that stand out against the green of the vegetation. We always climb to a mid-level area, where we can also sit and talk while we appreciate and photograph the sunset, and we even have a favorite spot now, a place that almost no one knows about. There, we won't see very large flowers, but there are actually many tiny flowers, almost imperceptible if you see them from afar. Once we discover them, it's impossible not to glance at them when we pass by our corner on the mountain, and that's when I took the opportunity to take these photographs with my phone.
Inevitablemente comenzamos a ver esos pequeños colores que resaltan entre el verde de la vegetación. Siempre subimos hasta una zona intermedia, donde también nos podemos sentar y hablar mientras apreciamos y fotografiamos el atardecer, e incluso tenemos un lugar preferido ya, un lugar que casi nadie conoce. Ahí no veremos flores muy grandes, pero en realidad hay muchas flores diminutas, casi imperceptibles si las ves desde lejos. Ya que las descubrimos es imposible que no les echemos un vistazo cuando pasamos por nuestro rincón en la montaña, y en ese momento fue que aproveché de tomar estas fotografías con mi teléfono.
With these photos, I intend to submit my entry for the 98th edition of the Phone Photography Contest, a challenge started by our friend @untilwelearn that encourages sharing photos we've taken with our phones, something I truly enjoy in the Feel Good community on Hive. The community's name alone suggests that sharing content here will make you feel good. Personally, I take photography very seriously, sometimes with more emphasis, and other times, like today, simply for the pleasure of capturing these small details of nature.
Con ellas pretendo hacer mi entrada para la edición número 98 del Phone Photography Contest, una dinámica propuesta por nuestro amigo @untilwelearn que propone compartir fotografías que hayamos capturado con nuestros móviles y que realmente disfruto en la comunidad Feel Good de Hive. Solo el nombre de la comunidad ya indica que compartir contenido aquí te hará sentir bien. En mi caso, me tomo muy en serio esto de tomar las fotos, a veces con más énfasis y otras veces como hoy, por el simple placer de capturar estos pequeños detalles de la naturaleza.
I like to think that little corner in the mountains is just for us 🤣 So far, we haven't found anyone else sitting there when we pass by, possibly because the bushes obstruct the view of the city. But it's precisely the vegetation that allows us to share a moment up there. Sometimes when I go up alone, I stop by to check that everything is alright, and I only find the bees doing their work with the flowers... I'll never tire of saying that this is the best activity to cope with daily life, although I'm not complaining. I love my job, my wife, and all my daily activities, and even though the mountain is now part of the routine, it's something that surprises me every day with a new gift, however small. Things are generally improving here, at least I'm enjoying the process and hoping for the best in the coming months of 2026. I'm more hopeful than ever! 🙏
Me gusta pensar que ese pequeño rincón en la montaña es exclusivo de nosotros 🤣 hasta ahora no hemos encontrado a nadie sentado ahí cuando pasamos, posiblemente porque los arbustos no dejan ver bien la vista de la ciudad, pero precisamente la vegetación es lo que nos hace compartir un rato allá arriba. Algunas veces cuando subo solo paso por aquí a verificar que todo esté bien, y solo encuentro a las abejas haciendo su trabajo con las flores... Nunca me cansaré de decir que esta es la mejor actividad para sobrellevar el día a día, aunque no me quejo, amo mi trabajo, a mi esposa y todas las actividades diarias, y aunque la montaña ahora sea parte de la rutina, es algo que me sorprende día a día con un nuevo regalo, por más pequeño que sea. En general las cosas están mejorando por aquí, al menos yo estoy disfrutando del proceso y esperando lo mejor para los siguientes meses del 2026. Tengo más esperanzas que siempre!!! 🙏
