Hello, how are you? As I remember, people used to hate matcha, and my love for matcha started when I was in my first year of college. I think I've been influenced by the things I watch online, so whenever I see any food with matcha on it, I will buy it LOL.

So I never thought that matcha and strawberry complement each other. I was supposed to taste it from Dairy Queen, but the sad part is that that season of matcha ended already LOL. So today I am going to make a donut with matcha and strawberry in fusion, but in a clay keychain form! I hope you like it :D

Materials I Used:

  • Glass Sheet
  • Polymer Clay
  • Portable Weighing Scale

  • Eyepin
  • Soft Pastels
  • Makeup Brush
  • Liquid Clay
  • Clay Tool
  • Tree Brush Tool
  • Silicone Mat
  • Oven
  • UV Resin

  • UV Lamp

I condition the clay I am going to use by kneading it by hand until soft, and then I like to weigh it into a specific size, it to be so I am going to use a portable weighing scale.

Shape it into a ball, and then I place it on the lid of the gum container.

Using the tip of the paintbrush, I added the hole in the middle of the clay.

To add texture, I used the tree brush tool and the needle tool. I just looked at the reference of the donut and how the texture of it looks.

I added shade using soft pastel and brush using soft pastels make it more realistic, so I highly recommend it.

To make the glazing, I mix liquid clay and a matcha green clay.

After mixing them, I use the same clay tool to apply the mixture onto the clay.

And then I added the eyepin.

I forgot to add the topping of the strawberry design, so I added it.

I let the clay sit for about an hour or until the glazing is fully dried, and then after that I place it onto a silicone mat, preheat it first, and bake it on time and temperature on the packaging.

To add extra protection to the clay, I use UV Resin and apply it using a brush.

And then I cure it under a UV Lamp. If you don't have a UV Lamp, you can use the sun, but make sure to do it in the morning.

To add the keychain, I put the jump ring inside the eyepin.

Then I lock it using the two pliers I have, and done!
