Saludos a toda la comunidad de Full Deportes, hace rato no les hablo del fútbol, y creo que es momento oportuno de hacer énfasis en ese tópico, ya que es algo que está sonando bien fuerte dentro del acontecer deportivo en Europa. Tras concluir la fase de Liga el pasado miércoles, este viernes fueron sorteados los cruces de dieciséisavos de final o ronda de play off, con partido de ida y vuelta. En esta oportunidad les hablaré de 4 de esos 8 partidos que se estarán disputando a mediados del invernal mes de febrero.
1- Benfica vs Real Madrid
Como le pasó al Barcelona la temporada pasada, este año, el Benfica tendrá que enfrentarse en 3 ocasiones consecutivas con su victimario el pasado miércoles. Los lusos llegaron a esta instancia tras colarse a última hora en la posición 24, y de paso desbancar al Napoli que cayó estrepitosamente frente al Chelsea. Lógicamente, no es lo mismo, partido único fuera de casa, que eliminatorias de ida y vuelta en donde el Madrid ha demostrado ser muy eficaz, ya que cuando les toca cerrar en su feudo del Santiago Bernabéu, buscan siempre el mejor resultado fuera de casa. Para el Madrid, superar esta eliminatoria sería más que un golpe moral, sería estar vivo aún en su competición favorita, además de seguir peleando la Liga. Veremos si finalmente el alumno Arbeloa puede superar al maestro Mourinho.
2- Bodo/Glimt vs Inter de Milan
Si vamos al papel, muchos dirán que el Inter tiene tarea fácil, pero esta eliminatoria de facil no tiene ni siquiera el nombre. El Bodo ha sorprendido a todos en esta temporada y ganaron 2 partidos importantes ante equipo con mejor plantilla que ellos, como el City y el Atlético de Madrid. Además la localía de los noruegos, puede ser una ventaja extra que tengan, ya que en esta época del año hacen temperaturas por debajo de 0 grados en el país nórdico, más la sensación térmica que siempre es inferior. Si el Inter no logra solventar la eliminatoria en su estadio, estaríamos ante una de las sorpresas en esta edición de la Champions.
Uno de los clásicos de la Ligue 1 tendrá lugar en esta ronda de la Champions. Ya que el campeón defensor volverá a jugar dieciséisavos y ante un rival que lo conoce muy bien aunque no esté pasando por su mejor momento. Le comentaba a un amigo cercano, que esta eliminatoria es toda una trampa, y que él Mónaco puede sorprender a los parisinos si les plantan el juego donde ellos quieren. El PSG, por su plantilla tiene jugadores de mucha más calibre y los veo como favoritos, aunque será muy cerrada esta eliminatoria.
4- Newcastle vs Qarabag
Realidades muy distintas, a pesar de la posición en la que terminó, el equipo de Azerbaiyán, dió guerra cuando le tocaron los grandes, incluído un empate en sus tierras contra el Chelsea. Mientras el Newcastle no empezó muy bien, tuvo una racha que los mantuvo en zona de pase directo, pero ese empate ante PSG unido a otros resultados que jugaron en su contra, fueron sacados de los primeros 8. Aquí pienso que nuevamente pueda haber sorpresa, aunque Newcastle ha estado muy inestable en la temporada. Ya veremos lo que se decida en el terreno de juego.
