Greetings, Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!
Here we are, already at the end of the month of January. Seems like time flies whether you're having fun or not!
It has been a rather turbulent month around here, with the humans having some assorted health problems, but thankfully they are feeling better now.
The house is suddenly very quiet this weekend, because the Mom-Hooman and the Son-Hooman have taken off to go to Seattle for a few days to visit the Daughter-Hooman and her infant son. So it's just us cats and the Dad-Hooman here at the house.
I overheard the Dad-Hooman say that "he was going to get a lot of things done," but we are here to make sure that a lot of those things actually have to do with cat playtime and paying attention to us Felines!
Since we are now almost into the month of February I also wanted to take a moment to point out that February is National Cat Health Month.
This basically means that we have an entire month dedicated to cat health awareness and to that end this is perhaps a great time to make an appointment with your vet for your Feline companion(s) so they can come in for a checkup if they haven't had one in a while.
Can't believe I'm actually suggesting this, since I don't particularly like going to the vet, but knowing that you have good health is always important and doing so means you can catch any potentially serious problems before they become life-threatening.
The Dad-Hooman has been very busy with his artwork, which means there's lots of stuff for us cats to supervise while he's working! Today he was trying to organize, and we managed to get into several of the boxes he was using!
Just to clarify, anybody with an ounce of common sense would understand that art is much better created if you have a cat working with you! Of course he's not fond of the fact that I really like to get under his work lamp because it adds a little extra warmth to the room.
It has been rather cold, rainy and windy outside so I do know that the Dad-Hooman is not going to be outside working in the garden.
On days like this, I am truly grateful for the fact that we are all indoor cats and not out having to fend for ourselves as street cats without a home. I like my soft warm blankets and my plentiful supply of food and treats on demand!
Don't really have much to say about the cryptosphere these days, more than anything it seems like everything is just slowly unraveling. I suppose we could wish and dream for better times but I don't see any indication that that's going to happen... at least not anytime soon.
We are definitely very grateful for our followers here on Hive who may help us make a little bit of pocket money every now and then but also who enjoy reading our cat related posts.
In a couple of months I will have had this account for eight years and that seems like a long time to be dedicated to simply posting about cats and cat related things, so we're pretty happy with that!
Hopefully Curator Cat — AKA Shadow — will be able to continue being the star of the blog for many years to come... but it's nice to have the fresh faces of Shangri and Nala, as well!
