Howdy to you all, my fellow Midnight Owls,

Here is the new prompt for the Midnight Owls:

What app are you addicted to at Midnight

In this new prompt, let us talk about the app you find yourself addicted to at midnight. This means that the app you can be found guilty of using at night, and tell us why. I know we are good midnight storytellers, and we are good at sharing our experiences. We can see that well from all our previous prompts. Now we are in prompt 17whichat shows we have come a long way.

I have to commend everybody who totheeir time to craft some creative poems for the last prompt. It did not know we do not only have midnight owls but some nice poets as well. You can check out these 5 highlights, and for more,e you can check the community.

Lichess is the app I am addicted to at midnight

After a long day of stressing from different life-asking activities, I find it refreshing to sit back and simply unwind with some chess games that make it easy for me to relieve my stress and make some good moves over the board. But here is the funny thing, I say I use the app to play chess and get rid of the stressful day I had, but the irony is, I end up playing poorly and getting upset at myself.

It as fa unny relationship because I find myself playing online arena tournaments or my favourite variant of chess,s which is bullet chess. This is 1 minute for each play,e r and they have to be as fast as possibleto maker their moves. The irony of this variant is that you think you will only play a few games, but after a while,e you see you have over 50 games. Yeah, I am right, 50 games. If a game takes 2 minutes, let's multiply it by 50, and that is 100 minutes, and that is just an hour and 40 minutes. That is rookie numbers for a chess player. This 1 hour and 40 minutes is what we can spend playing just a single classical game. It is small compared to the hours I spend on chess at night.

One night I started around a couple of minutepastss midnight, and I literally stopped playing at daybreak. Literally 6 am, and I did not know time had gone this far. If this is not the app I am addicted to, then I do not know any other one. I could have said TikTok because of the short clips from movies I watch on the app, but over time, I can put a stop to that easily; I cannot do the same for Lichess.
