Magandang buhay๐
Still in DD, and we had been enjoying fun beats this morning, even taking my little boy into grooving. He wasn't happy as he didn't want me holding his tiny paws and making him stand on the floor, so he growled at some point, lol!
Anyways, the three songs below are among the tunes that we had a bit of fun with.
Sean Kingston - Fire Burning
Catchy, that's how I would describe this song's tune and lyrics. I am sure most people have heard this song since it was released in 2009. It was the lead single to his studio album, Tomorrow. I didn't know it, but according to Wiki, it was used as the opening song for Miss Universe that year in the Bahamas, and also in the "Fred the Movie."
I thought it had reached a billion views on YouTube, but surprisingly, it has 126 million views to date since its upload 16 years ago (October 2009). But yeah, this song is danceable due to its fast tempo and cool instrumentation.
There had been various remixes by other artists, but I still like this original version.
Anyway, the second and third tunes are both by the Barbadian singer, Rihanna.
S&M
Be warned, the song's lyrics are about sex, sadomasochism, bondage, and fetishes.
Na-na-na come on!๐ต๐ต๐ต na-na-na-na-na come on๐ต๐ต๐ต
Oh, that hook can really get the eardrums! I like this - the tempo, the strong bassline, and the catchy melody. I suppose this easily activates anyone's "groove mood" the moment it is played, with its lively beats.
Well, except that when one listens closely to the lyrics, they are overtly sexual. Nevertheless, the song was well-received and commercially successful, especially in the UK, becoming the second biggest-selling R&B or hip-hop single of 2011, and topping the UK R&B charts for five consecutive weeks.
It was also in the top 10 in various countries, reaching number 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100. It eventually peaked at the top, making it Rihanna's 10th US number 1 single on the chart.
And the last tune for the day is a dance-pop with a bouncy feel, a catchy and repetitive melody that creates an upbeat and danceable track.
Don't Stop the Music
This is considered one of the most iconic club anthems by the singer. It's a dancefloor favorite and, similar to the second tune above, it is commercially successful, topping the charts in 10 countries, reaching number 3 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and number 1 on the US Dance Club Songs. It was nominated multiple times in various categories and won the Best International Song award in 2008.
And there you go for this week's 3 tunes for my participation in the TTT initiative by Ablaze. Have a groovy day!
