Looking for Colorful Murals
Walking through the city can be a pleasure when you have a purpose. I wanted to explore the streets in search of murals; although there are many places where you can enjoy a great mural, often our routine leads us to walk the same paths. Now I've broken with that routine and gone out to find my murals around the city. These past few days I came across this artistic expression adorning a wall in a very popular area. As I walked along from a distance, I could see this colorful mural, a work that draws attention for its religious theme, clearly identifying the faith professed by a people through their saints and the respect for figures who have brought honor to the nation.

Buscando Murales Coloridos El caminar por la ciudad a veces es placentero cuando vas con un propósito. Quería recorrer las calles para buscar murales; aunque hay muchos lugares donde puedes disfrutar de un gran mural, muchas veces la rutina nos lleva a caminar por el mismo sitio. Ahora he roto con esa rutina y he ido a buscar mis murales por la ciudad. En estos días me encontré esta manifestación artística que adorna la pared de una zona muy popular. A medida que iba caminando desde cierta distancia, podía visualizar tan colorido mural, una obra que llama la atención por su motivo religioso, identifica claramente la fe que profesa un pueblo por medio de sus santos y el respeto hacia figuras que han puesto en alto el nombre de la patria.
Undoubtedly, murals, besides beautifying our city's spaces, also tell the story of significant events in the country and the community. Here, the artist freely addresses the social themes of urbanism through their work, perhaps embellishing their truth with nuances. This mural reminds us of what our country experienced months ago when Dr. José Gregorio was declared a saint and the entire nation rejoiced, joining in the celebrations across the country. A vibrant change took place, as many citizens wished to pay homage through their murals and paintings.
Indudablemente, los murales, además de embellecer los espacios de nuestra ciudad, también nos cuentan la historia de hechos relevantes del país y la comunidad. Aquí es donde el artista aborda la temática social del urbanismo con mucha libertad a través de sus obras, quizás adornando con matices su verdad. Este mural nos recuerda lo que vivió nuestro país meses pasados cuando el Dr. José Gregorio fue declarado santo y todo el pueblo se llenó de gozo, se sumó a la celebración por diferentes lugares del país. Sufriendo un cambio vibrante, ya que muchos ciudadanos quisieron rendir homenaje a través de sus murales y pinturas.
Walking through the city and seeing these murals, you feel a palpable energy, a sense of being able to touch, examine, and gather your impressions as a viewer. You recognize the work of the street artists because they truly have a natural talent and a remarkable ability to transform a corner, wall, or space into a spectacular art gallery, creating a striking environment that connects us with the surroundings and the community. This mural is located in the La Pastora parish of Caracas, a very emblematic place because it is where Saint Dr. José Gregorio Hernández died.
Al caminar por la ciudad y ver estos murales, sientes la vibra de poder palpar, detallar y recoger tus impresiones como espectador, de reconocer el trabajo de los artistas callejeros porque de verdad tienen una buena aptitud y poseen mucha destreza para convertir una esquina, pared o espacio en una galería de arte espectacular, generando un espacio llamativo que nos conecta con el ambiente y la comunidad. Este mural está ubicado en la parroquia La Pastora, en Caracas, un lugar muy emblemático porque fue donde murió el santo doctor José Gregorio Hernández.
