restriction of eating Pork was applicable specifically to the Jews. It wasn't meant for the Christians. Sometimes in God's dealing with us he hands us instructions that are applicable to only us personally and not generally.
For instance, God gave an instruction to John the Baptist when he was in the wilderness to put on animal skin and to eat only locust and honey. This did not mean that everyone else who was putting on any material aside from animal skin or eating any food aside from locust and honey were disobedient to God.
Judaism, which are people who were Jews forbade eating Pork. God declared it to be unclean which was a way of demonstrating what was acceptable and what was unacceptable. It was a means of differentiating His people from the nations who practiced paganism.
But in this our present time it doesn't apply to us. We see this in this vision that Peter had in the book of Acts of the apostles. God rebuked him for calling what He created to be unclean. As much as this was a spiritual demonstration, it also extends to physical animals.
However, it’s no longer applicable.
Jesus made it even clearer when He was with His disciples. He made them to understand that nothing that enters into a man can defile Him, but what comes of his heart. What matters the most is the content of our heart and not the content of our stomach.
