People suffer tribulation because of their own choices or the choices of others. Wrong decisions, sinful actions, and human selfishness often bring pain. At the same time, innocent people may suffer because of injustice, violence, or the sins of others. The Bible acknowledges this truth and teaches that God sees every act of wrongdoing and will bring justice in His own time.
Tribulation can serve as a way for God to teach, correct, and guide His people. Just as a loving parent disciplines a child for growth, God sometimes uses difficult situations to redirect lives. These moments can help people reflect, repent, and return to the right path. Though painful, such discipline is meant for good and not for destruction.
The Bible teaches that tribulation is not the end of the story. God promises comfort, hope, and future glory for those who trust in Him. Suffering reminds people that this world is temporary and encourages them to look forward to God’s eternal promises. Through tribulation, believers learn that God is present, faithful, and able to bring purpose even out of pain.
