Bible has its own interpretation. Understanding the Bible is the work of the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit who wrote the Bible. This same Holy Spirit is the one who will help us to understand the Bible. We cannot understand the Bible by ourselves. Our minds cannot understand the wisdom of God. When we listen to the Holy Spirit, he will teach us the Bible and we will be able to understand what is written inside it. Can someone understand another man's language without being taught? That is not possible. In the same way we cannot understand the Bible the Holy Spirit teaching us.

There are things about God that we will not be able to know by our own mentality. We cannot do the will of the Lord by our own selves. The Holy Spirit alone is the one who helps men to key into the Word of God. The ways of God are higher than man's ways. The Bible declares this to us. Following God through the help of the Holy Spirit is the sure way to please God. Obtaining and academic degree will not make you to be knowledgeable in the Word of God. It is by the power of the Holy Spirit that we can understand the Word of God.

The Holy Spirit is our Teacher. But he won't teach us in isolation. We need to read the Bible everyday. You want to understand the Bible, then read the Bible. Have a conscious reading plan for you to understand the Bible. When you read the Bible, meditate on it. Reflect on what you have read. There is different between reading the Bible and reading some newspaper or story book. The Bible is the book of life. Meditate on it to gain knowledge. Reflect on it because it is life.
