Our hearts need to be open when reading the word of God. One thing we must understand before reading the Word of God is that it takes a lot more than human reasoning to understand it. We are going to need the help of the holy spirit to fully understand it. The word of God is not something that should be seen as just mere words. When we begin to view it like that then we fail to catch what it is taking about. We read the word of God because it is a medium through which He speaks to us. It is specially for those who desire to hear from Him and know His purpose for them in their lives. It is normal to not completely understand the word of God when starting off at first. But if we must do then we have to do it with patience, coupled with prayers and most importantly a strong desire to learn. The Bible was not intended to get us confused but to guide us rather. As it one of the factors that contribute to our Christian growth with makes it very essential to us. In all the knowledge we aspire to get the word of God should not be left out.
