Friends, our country is a river-based country. There are hundreds of rivers in this country. When we talk about them, the first thing that comes to mind are big rivers like Padma, Meghna, and Jamuna. These rivers are of huge size and are wide and deep. These rivers have transformed into a beautiful landscape. The number of rivers in our country is so high that we call our country a river-based country. And in the court of rain, our country is known as a river-based country.
These rivers have further enhanced the beauty of Bangladesh. Seeing the beauty of these rivers, you and I must be attracted because in such a clear and beautiful small country, such rivers bring back our life, embodying the tradition of Bengal, and we benefit a lot from these rivers because here we can catch fish, here we can enjoy the beauty of the river, and when the alluvial soil that the rivers of our country bring to the crop fields, the crop yield is good and the fertility of the soil increases, which is why the importance of rivers for Bangladesh is immense.
The importance of rivers in our plains is immense because when the river returns to its original form, that is, when the tide comes in, the river is filled to the brim with water and these also affect the crop fields, that is, when the water enters the crop fields, it carries a beautiful soil, that is, silt soil, so that our crops are good and the yield is also good and our food needs are met. Therefore, in a river-based country, the beauty of the river and the rivers that are blocked by it are inextricably linked to our lives. Here, each of us is familiar with the river and every person in Bangladesh is dependent on the river because they make a living by fishing in the river and when it comes to the beauty of the river, people express their emotions and feelings by going near the river.
Friends, I really like rivers. Walking along the banks of the river, taking a walk in the fresh air, sailing on the river, sitting by the river and resting, and the river's own wind makes life very happy. That's why we call our country a new country. The place I have tried to show you today is the place where winter is going on in our country. The water level in the river is very low. But still, this attraction of the river has drawn us here. Today, when we came here for a walk, we were surprised to see the beauty of the river because here the small boats are moving at their own speed.
In the afternoon, we suddenly came to visit and were amazed by the beauty of the river and felt so much joy here that we have never felt so much joy anywhere else and we spent quite some time here and shared the beauty of this place with each other and increased its beauty. Many people came here today to visit here and we saw that the river has been flooded and the river has almost dried up, which means that during the rainy season this river will be filled to the brim again. Moreover, the 11th longest Yamuna Bridge in the world has been built on this eternal river.
