Promises are here to be fulfilled!
And January seemed just like that, a month in which missions were accomplished and some surprises also occurred here in the Hive Collectors community. Many ballpoint pens came to write down their story, actually the owners of those items and collections helped them in that task.
During the whole month, we could read many memories connected to these little writing tools, see many colours and materials they are made of, and meet pens coming from all over the world. Some fountain pens and pencils joined the theme too, so I would like to thank everyone who participated in the topic with their posts: Livinguktaiwan, Elbuhito, Avdesing, Bozz, Blanca56, Dbooster, Palomap3, Enraizar, Duskobgd, Davidpena21, Multifacetas, Ivycrafts, Edje, Soyunasantacruz and myself.
I guess that if we let all the pens meet, they would make a huge party and even consume some bottles of drink.
Also, there were a few posts of collections not related to the January theme. Those are also very welcome here in the community feed. Maybe with a commemorative coin with could buy a collection of figurines, or enjoy the variety of colourful napkins. This community also gave space for some long-forgotten activities like burning a CD, however, we should never ever forget to behave well. Very well. As... there is a dangerous and threatening collection of weapons here at Hive!!
So... better I stick to fulfilling the promise I made in one of the posts! π @palomap3 came up with a very nice idea in her post while presenting the pens, proposing notebooks and journals as a topic. There, in the comment section of her post, I promised it would be one of the next themes. So here we are, February comes then with its monthly theme:
Notebooks, journals, planners, pocket notebooks...
Truth be told, at first I had a little dilemma about the proper names in English for each of them, as there are some smaller notebooks, bigger ones, with an elastic band, with a hardcover, ring-bound and spiral-bound ones... I hope I will be forgiven if I make a mess with the types of notebooks in my post. π
For example, these three are of similar size and have similar features. I think we can call them pocket notebooks. The Hive and the yellow are still clean inside. The butterfly one is quite full of some notes I used to write down to myself.
I found this tiny hardcover notebook in my husband's home many years ago. No, I didn't find any secret in it haha. Just one page was used, and what was written there was the cost of English lessons.
This is the type of planner I like to use, writing down the tasks and things I have to do on a daily basis. Then, when I accomplish the things I set for myself, I like to cross that note or to tick it off. βοΈ
This was one of my son's notepads. He had many others when he was small... but who would know where they are now.
I use this A5 spiral-bound notepad to keep track of my lessons this year. I divide each page into several sections for a certain day I work, and there I place the date, the name of the student, the pieces we worked on and what he or she should improve until the next lesson. It was bought in Lidl π - it was cheap, but it serves very well.
This is a section of random notepads, and the small hardcover one is here too, to compare the size with the others.
My favourite notebook from my little collection is this nice one. You could already see it in one of my posts (in the handwritten community). It also contains the list of the songs I used to play some years ago, organised by genres and occasions where I play them. Since then, my repertoire has grown, but I didn't write it here. I have it all now in digital form...
However, one thing remained in the "old school" mode. All my passwords are written down in this silver pocket notebook. So... maybe I should hide it well, now that I revealed the content of this notebook. π
I hope you guys like the new monthly theme and will find the inspiration to present some of your notebooks, journals, and notepads you have here in the Hive Collectors Community. Happy February! π
