In the back of our Mind we have a super hero yell … OLYLE. It stands for “Out Live Your Life Expectancy.” Have you ever celebrated a birthday when you thought to Universe — “I want to double these years?” There seems to be a “longevity industry” growing, as if gadgets, blood transfusions and organ transplants will extend life. This thinking is right out of the 18th century.
Somewhere along the journey I read that [1st US President] George Washington was exsanguinated [bled to death]. The medical intervention of the day was to “bleed” the patient as it was believed that death or a disease was in the blood. Remove the blood, remove the problem. Catherine the Great [of Russia] was often bled as a medical intervention for one reason of the other. Maybe young-blood infusions and practicing yoga in red-light rooms are a temporary fix — or maybe not. [What happens to the kids that have their blood drained into the veins of elites? Is their a support group for them?]
We have been watching dudes in their 70s and over get their fitness game on. We have advised younger family members to prepare themselves for living in their next decade. We are taking that advice within. We will talk about that in future episodes as well. Today we are making our reservations for 7th Floor elevation.
