Down in the land of Funk we call this collection of days Funkuary. It’s the perfect moon’th. Starts on a Sunday, ends on a Saturday. Every day of the week gets 4 “at bats.” 28 days — which by the way is the second perfect number in the series. Hmmm. Must be one of those coincidences. Like how does the moon cycle just happen to line up with a perfect number?
It’s a cold morning down here in South Florida. The AI heat (or thermo) meter says 38 degrees F. No wind-chill factor mentioned, but Mr. Hawk is whippin’ through the palms.
January ended as every good drama should — intensely tense. Did I read that the silver price dropped? Something about an arbitrage spread and a transfer of wealth out of the US? I don’t know. I am waiting for the peanut butter index to take off so I can trade my Skippy for gold.
Did I hear that an “American Armada” is headed to West Asia? My introduction to the word “armada” was linked to a disastrous event that shifted the balance of power on the planet. Pardon me if I am not impressed.
We are wrapping up the “Fight Oligarchy” series today. The best way to diminish the power of billionaires is to ban them. [Sarcasm.] But that will never happen. The USG creates billionaires and then these paper billionaires do the bidding of the Evil Empire. [Power or Prison.] There used to be this government agency that built rockets and sent them into space. Now, this hobby has been relegated to some oligarchs that were enabled and funded by the Gov.
“Fight Oligarchy” is as empty a term as “Peace on Earth.”
