Hello my dear ones, our Sunday ChitChat is still active and this week we had quite a few nice interactions here. As he usually does (because he likes to keep everything in order), @nozem01’s participation was not long in coming, and @santacruz.sports appeared, very motivated to chat a little and share with us details of the bicycle of her dreams—an idea we suggested you should not dismiss. We’ll be waiting for you here.

Although he did not take part in our initiative, @stortebeker brought a very interesting post about his future plans for travelling by bicycle, and his most recent guests… cyclists!

For his part, @lesmann brought us his weekly summary, wrapped in a blanket because it was cold… even so, his passion for Brutus did not fade; it was the only one of his bicycles that clocked up kilometres.

And Paola Marin joined us this time with a photo post about a memorable gathering with girls in Venezuela who connected thanks to this wonderful hobby of cycling.

As you can see, I have decided to include everyone who in one way or another took part this week, hoping that perhaps they will be encouraged or spread the word so that we have more activity in our Community. Many thanks to all. 😃 And before I forget, I want to highlight that in the #strava2hive posts, @kiwibloke is one of the users who shares with us the most detailed descriptions of his good moments on the bike, and that is much appreciated. He even dusted off his favourite action camera and filmed a video of his route, after we had talked about the convenience of using one device or another. It was very nice to see the place where he rides, and here I share his post with you:

And now, the prompt of the week… it could be two or three… 😁

    1. I’m inviting you to go to a bicycle shop or workshop and bring back photos or videos of those places. Talk about the prices, the offers, the bike you dream of having… whatever comes to mind. If it’s a workshop, how would you rate their services? - For those who could not, or did not have time, to take part in last Sunday’s chat.
    2. In what ways has cycling helped you bond with others—on the road, in conversation, or just by sharing the same love for bikes? We’d love to hear your stories!

Remember to use the hashtag #SundayChitChat, and feel free to invite a friend to join in. That will help us connect with more people.

See you around soon! Keep sharing 😜 your routes and connecting with others.

Cool to see some activity in the community! I also like this #SundayChitChat initiative @nanixxx, great idea!

I don't have that much to share about the prompts nor do I have footage of my recent rides, but I can add something in the comments!

I will be visiting bicycle shops soon, since I'm looking into buying a new road bicycle. I've been riding my current bicycle for almost 8 years now. And since I ride between 4500 and 5000 kilometers a year, I must have covered between 36000 and 40000 kilometer on this bicycle over the years. That is almost a trip around the world! Quite bizarre when you think about it.

The company I work for has a benefit program for buying bicycles. This is quite common in The Netherlands by the way. It is get people out of the cars and make them cycle to work (as I do too). This program makes it more attractive to buy a new bicycle. I'm looking forward to the technological improvements.

In what ways has cycling helped you bond with others—on the road, in conversation, or just by sharing the same love for bikes? We’d love to hear your stories!

I've been doing many rides with some close friends over the years. It really gives you time to bond. Since there are distractions from phones and other people, you can talk freely. I've had a lot good conversations during bicycle rides over the years.

I'm curious to see the experiences from others.

Hello @friendlymoose, I’m quite curious to see those bicycle shops and, of course, your new acquisition. You could even do the unboxing! Haha… thanks for joining this Sunday chat. By the way, I completely forgot to set the counter. 😖 Yesterday I was so cold my brain wasn’t working properly. Thanks once again… Have a great week ahead!

I'll see if I can take some photos. I'm going to do research first, so it will take some time before I will buy a new bicycle.
