We are thrilled to announce the formal opening and inauguration of the 25th @WellsForAll borehole, located in Ntonso in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, on 18th December 2025, marking an extraordinary occasion in the history of WellsForAll. The completion of 25 boreholes in 2025, with Ntonso being the final one, and thus the perfect one to commemorate this impressive achievement.
What makes this borehole particularly special to @WellsForAll is that it completes 25 boreholes in 2025, a great way to reflect upon the progress WellsForAll has made since its inception. Reaching this milestone shows us what can be achieved through persistence, transparency, and building a relationship of trust with the people in each of the communities that WellsForAll works with throughout Ghana.
WellsForAll chose to locate this borehole at the centre of the only secondary school in Ntonso after receiving input from the community's traditional leaders. It was a deliberate and successful choice. For many years students would have to travel to town to collect water, resulting in lost educational time and increased risk to personal safety to obtain something they needed every day.
The borehole at Ntonso School has greatly improved the quality of life for the students attending this school, as it provides students with easy and consistent access to clean drinking water while at school. Students are no longer required to spend a significant amount of time travelling to find water, which means they have more time to focus on their studies, their health and their personal development.
In addition to providing students with safe and clean drinking water, this borehole has provided the community surrounding the school with access to safe and clean drinking water as well. The borehole has improved public health, improved daily living standards and reinforced the sense of ownership the community has of this essential resource.
This borehole has given @WellsForAll the opportunity to celebrate the achievement of 25 boreholes in 2025. The success of this milestone has been due to the continued support of our sponsor, @valueplan, and members of the Hive community. Each borehole has a story of how the lives of people were changed, time was saved and dignity was restored.
While celebrating this milestone, @WellsForAll remains focused on the future and is committed to delivering even more boreholes next year to communities in Africa that face water shortages. Together, we will continue to work to reduce the lack of access to clean drinking water and provide access to clean drinking water to those that need it most. Thanks to you @steevc, @collinz, @alessandrawhite, @adetorrent and all those who supported @mcsamm to tell the success story of how @wellsforall is improving communities in Africa through the hive blockchain.
