We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our Delegators Reward Program, an opportunity for you to support the WorldMapPin project while earning rewards simultaneously.
This is another big step in the evolution of this great project that we all love.
How It All Started
The idea popped out during a delightful breakfast at Hivefest when @roelandp asked @detlev and @lizanomadsoul if we had a plan about rewarding our delegators. Since then, we've put a lot of thought into creating a program that not only rewards you, our amazing supporters but also strengthens the Hive ecosystem. Big thank you to @arcange for coding and testing the system for the project.
Why a Delegators Reward Program?
The program aims at rewarding anyone who delegates at least 50 HP to @worldmappin in order to give back as a thank-you for their delegation.
By delegating Hive Power to @worldmappin, you become an integral part of our project, supporting the curation of daily travel content and receiving a share of the curation rewards proportional to your delegation.
The @worldmappin team curates travel content daily and votes for the best English and Spanish posts. Our curation rewards are quite high as we are very active in curating quality content. Our average curation APR ranges from 9% to 11%, which our delegators will also benefit from.
How does it work?
Several other projects on HIVE reward their delegators with HIVE, HBD, or with their own tokens. At @worldmappin, we have decided to reward our delegators with Hive Power (HP). The main reasons to do so are:
- We will grow together
- If you were doing your own curation, you would also receive Hive Power
- It is a healthy way to support the Hive Eco System.
We will share 80% of our curation rewards with our delegator. The remaining will be used to grow the @worldmappin account and provide greater rewards to the talented authors we curate.
Note: for efficiency reasons, we will not distribute a reward if its amount is less than 0.005 HP. With a delegation of at least 50 HP, this should not be an issue.
When?
Our Delegators Reward Program will start on November 1st!
This means we will collect data on curation rewards and delegations once the day is over. Only after that our delegators will receive their rewards. The first distribution will therefore take place on November 2.
Distributions will occur daily and delegators will be notified of their earnings with a micro-transfer from @worldmappin

Estamos encantados de anunciar el lanzamiento de nuestro Programa de Recompensas por Delegaciones, una oportunidad para que apoyes el proyecto WorldMapPin y ganes recompensas al mismo tiempo.
Este es otro gran paso en la evolución de este gran proyecto que todos amamos.
¿Cómo empezó todo?
La idea surgió durante un delicioso desayuno en el Hivefest, cuando @roelandp les preguntó a @detlev y @lizanomadsoul si teníamos un plan para recompensar por delegaciones. Desde entonces, hemos pensado mucho en crear un programa que no sólo recompense a nuestros increíbles delegadores, sino que también fortalezca el ecosistema Hive. Muchas gracias a @arcange por codificar y probar el sistema para el proyecto.
¿Por qué un programa de recompensas por delegaciones?
Muchos otros proyectos en HIVE recompensan con HIVE, HBD o con sus propios tokens por las delegaciones. En @worldmappin, hemos decidido recompensar a nuestros delegadores con Hive Power (HP). Las principales razones para hacerlo son:
- Creceremos juntos
- Si hicieras tu propia curación, también recibirías Hive Power
- Es una forma saludable de apoyar el Ecosistema de Hive.
Compartiremos el 80% de nuestras recompensas de curación por delegación. El resto se utilizará para hacer crecer la cuenta @worldmappin y ofrecer mayores recompensas a los talentosos autores que curamos.
Nota: por razones de eficiencia, no distribuiremos recompensas si su importe es inferior a 0,005 HP. Con una delegación de al menos 50 HP, esto no debería ser un problema.
¿Cuándo?
Nuestro programa de recompensas por delegación comenzará el 1 de noviembre.
Esto significa que recopilaremos los datos sobre las recompensas de curación y las delegaciones una vez finalizada la jornada. Sólo después, nuestros delegadores recibirán sus recompensas. Por lo tanto, la primera distribución tendrá lugar el 2 de noviembre.
Las distribuciones se producirán diariamente y los usuarios serán notificados de sus ganancias con una micro-transferencia de @worldmappin
