Good afternoon, travelers!
On my last trip, I connected deeply with nature and faith, so after visiting the Shrine, we walked a few meters to the grotto that leads to the spring of Our Lady of Durí, descended some stone stairs, and with every step I took, I was captivated by the perfection of the creator. There was a beautiful landscape with green, imposing mountains and a pleasant breeze.
When we reach the end of the road, we find a space set aside for parishioners to pray, where a stone is embedded in a wall. It is said that this stone was discovered by an Indian woman, the Virgin of Our Lady of the Rosary of Durí. Its beautiful, resplendent form was drawn on it more than 300 years ago, and devotion to this Marian invocation has been maintained ever since.
Above the stone is a small chapel, inside which is a Virgin of the Rosary that, to me, bears a strong resemblance to those of Chiquinquirá and Aregue. Next to the image are flowers, candles, and some rosaries.
Beneath the stone is the fountain, which is a small stream of water that comes from one of the nearby springs or rivers and flows, although frankly I don't know where it goes. This water is said to be blessed, given that the Virgin of the Rosary of Durí is called the Mother of Waters.
The people who live near the Durí Valley consider the Virgin of Rosario their protector, and every January they make a pilgrimage where thousands of faithful flock to this place to give thanks for favors granted. I would have liked to come on the last Sunday of the month and experience this event full of faith and devotion.
As a Catholic and a traveler, being able to visit this place made me feel that in places like this, God's presence and love are felt through his mother. I could also hear the strong whisper of the wind, trying to tell me something I couldn't understand but could feel in the fibers of my skin.

En mi último viaje, conecté mucho con la naturaleza y la fe, así que luego de visitar el Santuario, caminamos unos pocos metros hasta la gruta que nos conduce para llegar a la fuente de Agua de la Virgen de nuestra Señora de Durí, bajamos por unas escaleras de piedra, en cada paso que daba solo podía quedarme cautivada con la perfección del creador, había un hermoso paisaje, con verdes e imponentes montañas y una brisa agradable.
Cuando llegamos al final del camino, nos encontramos con un espacio destinado para la oración de los feligreses y en donde dentro de una pared se encuentra una piedra donde se dice que fue descubierta por una india la Virgen de Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Durí, su forma hermosa y resplandeciente se dibujo en ella hace más de 300 años, desde entonces se mantiene la devoción hacía está advocación mariana.
Arriba de la piedra, se encuentra una pequeña capilla, donde en su interior se encuentra una Virgen del Rosario que para mi posee mucha similitud con la de Chiquinquirá y Aregue, junto a la imagen se encuentran flores, velas y algunos rosarios.
Debajo de la piedra, se encuentra la fuente, que es un pequeño chorro de agua que viene de uno de los manantiales o ríos que se encuentran cerca y corre, aunque francamente no se cuál es su curso , se dice que esta agua es bendita, teniendo en cuenta que a la Virgen del Rosario de Durí es llamada la Madre de las Aguas.
Las personas que habitan cerca del Valle de Durí, consideran a la Virgen de Rosario como su protectora y cada mes de enero se realiza una peregrinación donde miles de fieles acuden a este lugar para agradecer por favores concedidos me hubiera gustado venir en el último domingo del mes y poder vivir esa experiencia llena de fe y devoción.
Como católica y viajera, poder conocer este sitio, me hizo sentir que en lugares como este, la presencia y el amor de Dios se encuentra presente a través de su madre,además de escuchar el fuerte susurro del viento queriendo decirme algo que no lograba entender pero que sentía en la fibra de mi piel.
