Last week our whole group packed up and headed out to Mount Brigino. We had heard so many good things about the place and honestly we were all pumped to finally check it out for ourselves. The ride there was already setting the mood right.
Driving up winding roads through green hills felt so good the air was way fresher than in the city, you could really tell we were getting closer to nature. We rolled the windows down and just let that crisp breeze hit our faces while looking at all the lush trees passing by.
When we pulled into the entrance and got our first real look at the place… wow we literally stopped in our tracks! Everything was way more beautiful than the pictures we had seen online. The mix of traditional and modern structures set against all that greenery was just incredible.
There were these awesome grass huts with woven palm roofs that looked so cozy and homey plus sleek modern a frame houses with shiny metal tops. Each one was placed perfectly so you got great views no matter where you stood they really did not mess up the natural vibe at all.
We climbed up one of the higher spots to look down and the whole setup was so cool. You could see how everything blended right into the landscape little pathways winding between trees colorful plants around every corner and even some distant structures peeking through the foliage..
Then we spotted that famous wooden sign everyone talks about it says “It’s not the mountain we conquer but ourselves” and mentions the 330 steps up ahead. Right away we knew we had to make that climb even if some of us were already feeling a bit tired from all the walking.
Okay so those steps were definitely a workout each one made us huff and puff a little more but we kept pushing each other on. Every time we stopped to catch our breath though, we had look around and realize how worth it it was starting to be.
Pretty flowers were lined up all along the sides of the stairs bright reds yellows and pinks that made the climb way more fun. We even stopped a few times just to snap pics of them because they were so vibrant against all the green grass and brown stone.
Once we finally reached the peak, our jaws just dropped. The view was absolutely insane rolling hills stretching out as far as we could see thick forests covering most of the land and way in the distance we could make out the glistening sea under the blue sky.
We must have taken a hundred photos up there every angle gave us a different amazing shot. Some of us were just standing there staring, taking it all in because you can’t really capture how breathtaking it feels with just a camera. We stayed up top for ages just soaking it in.
After all that exploring and climbing we were more than ready to cool off so we headed straight for the pool area. The water looked so inviting under the sun and when we got in we were stoked to find out it was super clean and perfectly cold.
We spent ages just lounging in and around the pool floating on our backs looking up at the clouds splashing each other like kids and just chilling out after all the walking. Honestly, it felt like the perfect way to end our day at this awesome spot we will definitely be coming back to..
