Jujutsu Kaisen - Anime review (ENG-ESP)

I recently started watching the anime Jujutsu Kaisen again, a story that I found quite interesting and caught my attention in its first season. South Korean anime director Park Sung-hoo was in charge of directing the anime's first season, while Shōta Goshozono took the reins for the second and third seasons. The studio in charge of the animated series was MAPPA. Jujutsu Kaisen has a story with a lot of potential, it could even be one of the best stories of recent times, but I think it lost its way as it progressed. The third season is currently airing, and personally, I have been quite disappointed with it. Below, I will explain why.

I'm not sure, but I think I posted something about this anime a while ago, but I honestly don't remember. So I'm going to talk about it as if it were the first time. The anime tells us about curses, which are beings whose purpose is to destroy humanity. These curses are demons created by the negative energy emanating from human beings. That's where we have the sorcerers, who fight against the curses to save humanity. The sorcerers use the cursed or negative energy, which they can control unlike normal human beings.

This anime began airing in 2020, and is an adaptation of the manga created by Gege Akutami, with a total of 30 volumes published, at least as far as I understand. Our main character is Yūji Itadori, a young student who eats the fingers of what is considered to be the most powerful demon or curse in the animated series. This is all I've seen so far, as I haven't read the manga. This young man has the ability to control Sukuna, because, having no magical power, he had to do so to protect his friend. Being Sukuna's vessel, he had to become a sorcerer in order to consume all the fingers, and then be killed, as this curse is feared by all. That's where Satoru Gojō comes in, my favorite character, Megumi's most powerful teacher in the anime, feared by all curses, except for Sukuna.

I feel the same way about Yūji Itadori, who is a strong character, but above all because he is able to keep Sukuna under control. I think the story is well developed in the first season, although it gets more interesting as the story progresses. The second season is great, with epic moments and an interesting ending, but the third season is proving to be a real disappointment. This is my personal opinion, I may be wrong, but it's the feeling I get from my experience. There are still episodes left and this could change.

The first season had 24 episodes, the second had 23, and the third will have 13 episodes in the first part. The total number of episodes in the third season is expected to be around 25 or 26. I've only seen 5 episodes of the third season, so everything could change. As we approach the end of this first part, things could get more and more exciting, with episode 13 providing a cliffhanger to leave fans wanting to continue watching the anime, as happens in most productions. Visually, what I like most is the characters' money. The visual effects during the fights are pretty good, but there are certain details in the animation that I don't like. Overall, the animation isn't bad, it has its interesting aspects, but especially in what I've seen in this third season, I've been more disappointed.

El anime posee una buena cantidad de personajes, entre hechiceros y maldiciones, donde en el anime tiene un gran desarrollo y es una de las cosas positiva que encuentro del anime. Mis dos personajes favoritos es el protagonista y Saturo, siendo este último el que más aura tiene a la hora de pelear y entiendo perfectamente por qué es respetado y temido por muchos. De la tercera entrega apenas he visto 5 episodios, por lo que todo puede cambiar, a medida que se avance a la finalización de esta primera parte, las cosas puede ir agarrando cada vez más emoción para en el capítulo 13 tener un cierre para que los fanáticos quedemos con las ganas de continuar viendo el anime, tal cual pasa en la mayoría de las producciones. En lo visual lo que más me gusta es el dinero de los personajes. Los efectos visuales durante las peleas están bastante bien, pero hay ciertos detalles en la animación que no me gustan. En general la animación no está mal, tiene sus cosas interesantes, pero sobre todo en lo que he visto en esta tercera temporada, me he decepcionado más.

The anime soundtrack is exceptional, with great compositions for different moments in the story, moments of tension, battles, and emotional moments. I like the intro music, and the ending isn't bad either. Honestly, Jujutsu Kaisen isn't one of the worst anime series I've seen. It was recommended to me, so I gave it a try, but I felt like the story was lacking. There are some epic moments, but there's also a lot of dialogue and not much action at times. Would I recommend the anime? Well, despite the negative things I've mentioned, I think it's a good production to pass the time, entertaining at times both for the action of the battles and for the touch of humor that the story presents. I hope the third season ends on a high note, and if the anime continues, it could improve certain details and become a great production. Not at the level of Solo Leveling, which I'm eagerly awaiting, but still a good anime.

No al nivel de Solo Leveling, que la estoy esperando con ansias, pero sí un buen anime.
