(ENG) This week was packed with appointments: internal medicine on Monday, psychiatry on Tuesday, my caregiver on Wednesday, the visiting nurse on Thursday, and breast surgery on Friday. With such a hectic schedule, I hadn't yet voted and was wondering when I could go.
Usually, the House of Representatives election coincides with the national review of Supreme Court justices. However, this time, due to legal regulations, the national review period only began on February 1st. Yesterday I was still feeling unwell, so I rested and prepared for today. I decided to go vote early today. I didn't want to risk getting the flu right before election day and not being able to vote.
Before voting, I went to my internal medicine appointment first. Since I couldn't move much last month, my HbA1c level had worsened slightly. I really need to start exercising more. After picking up my prescription at the pharmacy, I headed to the ward office, which was the early voting location.
I took the subway from the station near the clinic, rode about three stops, then walked about five minutes to reach the ward office. When I arrived, there were quite a few people, and the elevator to the 4th-floor polling station was packed. I showed my postcard to enter, filled out the ballot as instructed, and that was it.
After leaving the ward office, I was hungry, so I had lunch. Since there are many students around the subway station, finding a restaurant wasn't difficult. I had a pork ginger stir-fry set meal. (JPN) 今週は今日月曜日に内科、火曜日に精神科へ行き、水曜日はヘルパーさん、木曜日に訪問看護師さんが来て、金曜日は乳腺外科へ行くという超過密スケジュールだったため、まだ選挙の投票に行っていなかった私はいつ行こうか悩みました。
いつも、衆議院議員選挙の時は同時に最高裁判所裁判官の国民審査があるのですが、今回は法令により、国民審査ができるのは2月1日からだったのです。で、昨日はまだしんどいし、翌日に備えて色々準備して休んだので、今日期日前投票へ行くことにしました。投票日ぎりぎりになって、インフルエンザになって行けませんでした、となったら困りますから。
投票の前にまずは内科へ行きました。なんせ先月は動けなかったものでやはりHbA1cの値がわずかに悪くなっていました。これから少しでも運動しなければ。 そして薬局で処方してもらった薬を買って、期日前投票所である区役所へ向かいました。
区役所へは内科の近くの駅から地下鉄に乗って、３駅ほど乗って、降りてから５分ほど歩いて区役所に着きました。着いてみると結構人がいて、4Fの投票所へ行くエレベーターは満員でした。ハガキを見せて入場し、あとは投票用紙に書いて、言われた通りにして終わりでした。
区役所を出るとおなかがすいたので、昼食をいただきました。地下鉄の駅のまわりは学生が多いこともあり食堂には困りませんでした。豚のしょうが焼き定食をいただきました。もやしが山盛りでした。写真がその豚のしょうが焼き定食です。食べ終わった後バスで帰り、買い物をして自宅に着きました。
疲れました。
