A long stressful and productive day ended successfully. It was a pretty long day as I had a whole lots to handle. I needed to check up a space for studio and also needed to check up a studio for some Pretoria shoots it was all stressful as every of my journey turned out to be a waste of time but to crown it all and to make it productive, I had a call through from my frame constructor, who told me that the stretchers i requested for are ready.
I took off to his workshop to pick up the stretches and I headed home to come stretch the canvas on the stretcher and also to get it ready and prepared for deep creativity.
The essentials needed for the stretching of the canvas on the stretcher is listed as follows:
- stapler
- pin
- canvas fabric Going forward, I started still playing the fabric on the stretcher making sure that it is hard enough for a well prepared canvas. Looking at this pictures it's obvious that the canvas will rightly stretched and is ready to be worked on creatively.
After stretching it, I made use of emotion paint and top board gum to texture the surface of the canvas fabric and give it a hard texture that's best for painting.
As seen are some of the pictures taken while I worked on the canvas for creativitt.
