My coworkers and I decided to go to the mall today. The key cause is? To help our friend Ricky choose a belt for the wedding he is going to.
I wasn't bored at all, to be honest. There were so many stories and office gossip going around that it was full of life and energy. Haha.
My coworkers and I decided to go to the mall for a short trip today. The key cause is? To help our friend Ricky choose a belt for a wedding he is going to. But we couldn't help but stop at a few stores along the road before we did that.
Every time I go to the mall, I invariably end myself shopping at the same stores. I guess it's hard to break old habits! We started walking around and going from store to store to look at the newest collections. I was secretly thinking about what I would buy next while looking at some of the things. But our main goal was to get Ricky's belt, so we didn't go too far.
After a time, we got to Bench, one of those stores that everyone loves and never lets you down. You know the types: clothes, accessories, perfumes, and a lot more that are easy on the wallet. No matter if you're just browsing or actually shopping, it's always fun to go there. We spent about 15 minutes inside, looking at everything, laughing around, and just enjoying the atmosphere.
After our walk through the mall worked its wonders, our bellies told us it was time to take a rest. So we went to Naru, which is a popular place to get Korean food. You know I can't say no to ramen noodles and bibimbap if you know me. The fragrance of the meal alone can make anyone's day better! While we waited for our food, we spoke about... well, everything.
This is the best part of going out to dinner with coworkers. We chat about things we don't generally talk about at work, such tiny office updates, amusing things that happened, gossip (oops!), and even plans that are broader than that. It's a tiny break from our normal routine. These kinds of times are great for catching up, having fun, and getting rid of all the stress from work for a while.
To be honest, these little escapades make me even more thankful for having pals at work. They're not simply coworkers; they're one of the things that makes me look forward to going to work. Short trips like this remind me how lucky I am to be around individuals who make my day better, even if it's only a quick walk around the mall.
Yes, it was only a brief excursion to the mall, just a few hours, but it was one of those days that will stick with me for a long time. It shows that happiness doesn't always come from large plans. Sometimes it's just about enjoying the little things with wonderful people.
Never underestimate these little experiences if we have friends at work. They could be the best part of our week, and to be honest, they make my work a lot more fun.
