El día de ayer mi pareja tuvo el grato y espontaneo deseo de ir a caminar por el monumento de la ciudad de Cumaná, la avenida llamada Cacique Maraguey, que lugareños han tomado como sitio icónico para hacer ejercicio y practicar deportes, dispuesto también un lugar para alquilar bicicletas, un anfiteatro, que fue inaugurado recientemente, y lo mas grandioso; tener la playa al ladito cuando vas caminando.
Hello everyone, it's a day late, but I still hope my post is well-received in this community. Yesterday, my partner had the pleasant and spontaneous desire to go for a #walk along the monument in the city of Cumaná, on Cacique Maraguey Avenue. Locals have adopted it as an iconic spot for exercising and playing sports, and it also has a bike rental shop, a recently inaugurated amphitheater, and best of all, the beach right next door as you walk along.
Desde la escuela nos enseñan que, Cumaná es la ciudad mas antigua del continente americano, y justo el nombre de la avenida, es por el grupo de indígenas liderado por el cacique Maraguey. Se le conoce como La primogénita, y desde que tengo uso de razón, el monumento ha sido un sitio en el cual, luego que cae el sol en la tarde, o antes que se ponga en la mañana, las personas van a cuidar su salud, física y mental. Habiendo dicho eso, quiero mencionar que, en mi época con una crisis ansiosa, este lugar me ayudó a relajar mi mente y mi cuerpo, para lograr el descanso por la noche, así que, debo agradecer enormemente tener un lugar como este.
From school, we're taught that Cumaná is the oldest city in the Americas, and the avenue's name comes from the indigenous group led by Chief Maraguey. It's known as "La Primerogénita" (The Firstborn), and for as long as I can remember, the monument has been a place where, after sunset or before sunrise, people go to take care of their physical and mental health. Having said that, I want to mention that during a period of anxiety, this place helped me relax my mind and body, allowing me to sleep soundly at night. So, I'm incredibly grateful to have a place like this.
El día de ayer que fui con mi pareja, nos sirvió para conectar, conversar sobre diversas situaciones, incluso nos acercamos bastante a la playa, a mojarnos los pies, y tomar unas lindas fotos, que nos quedaran para el recuerdo. Tomamos unas conchas marinas, que obviamente devolvimos a su habitad, para jugar con la cámara de nuestros teléfonos, y hacer fotografías increíbles.
Yesterday, my partner and I went to the beach, and it was a great opportunity to connect and talk about various things. We even went quite close to the water's edge, dipped our toes in the water, and took some lovely photos to remember the occasion. We collected some seashells, which we obviously returned to their habitat, and used them to play around with our phone cameras and take some amazing pictures.
Justo al irnos, quedé impresiona de la cantidad de personas que, llegan luego de la caída del sol, a eso de las 7pm, van con niños pequeños, mascotas, y no solo a trotar o a ejercitarse, también a sentarse frente al mar, hacer meditación, ahh, y cabe mencionar que, hay grupos de yoga justo los miércoles.
Just as we were leaving, I was impressed by the number of people who arrive after sunset, around 7 pm, with small children, pets, and not only to jog or exercise, but also to sit in front of the sea, meditate, ahh, and it is worth mentioning that there are yoga groups on Wednesdays.
Para mí, no es necesario pagar un costoso gym para realizar una actividad física, siempre he tenido la mentalidad que, acercarse al monumento, caminar y/o trotar, es una excelente idea para mantenernos en forma.
For me, it's not necessary to pay for an expensive gym to do physical activity; I've always had the mindset that going near the monument, walking and/or jogging, is an excellent idea to stay in shape.
