Welcome to my blog and I'm happy to participate in this episode to share my thoughts.
To start with, what happened in my office yesterday was that we listened to a newscaster who talked about the price of fuel and how it affected the food items bought in the market. And there was an argument among the soldiers in the office. Some said that they have noticed that the price of food has come down. One elderly soldier who was inside our office called their attention and said to them that the price of fuel has skyrocketed, and there is no way the food price would come down.
The government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Meaning the people choose the leaders, the people give them power, and the leaders must work for the people’s good. I could vividly recall how we recited the government of a thing in nursery and secondary school, but we didn't know that the government isn't so.
Meanwhile, we choose the government for a purpose, and we give them power to rule and do the needful. But after being truthful and honest with them, they turn it down. It's affecting the downtrodden people who do not have the privilege to work to some extent or capacity. Some decision-making by the government and its team is not favorable to the poor but the rich, because when it's time, they will embezzle everything to themselves without thinking twice about the citizens who supported them in power to be where they are today, who have turned to trample upon them.
Nigerians are very selfish and self-centered about the needs of others to the point that if they see the poor physically, they won't offer help to the poor woman or man.
I was reading someone's content about this contest too, and he said that in Brazil, they have a bunch of thieves who are well-trained in this aspect. Meaning it's everywhere in the world.
The poor people are struggling to live a comfortable life. Some are very intelligent, but access is not granted because if I get a person into politics, they will be supported or rewarded even without a certificate.
The government teams are not helping matters, if funds are relocated for a project in the State, the bunch of thieves on the floor would swallow it. If the government has the right mindset, this country would be a better place for the people to enjoy. But our properties are being packed, hidden, without proper disbursement to the citizens, it's our right. We chose them to represent us but the representation went wrong.
They are now against the poor, supporting the rich.
Ask yourself, if you were privileged to serve as the president of your country, would you be like these people that we are talking about? Would you support the embezzlement to improve or reduce it? To, I will try as much as possible to ensure that my people enjoy my rulership as the governor or president. In the scripture, Christ, as the king, came for the poor, to enlighten them, and God is against the rich oppressing the poor. As the governor or president, elevation should be seen in the lives of the people. Let my people feel the impact of my leadership.
