In recent years it's been very important to make sure that children are been taught about money making skills at a very early age. In recent times cryptocurrency and forex has made great impact in the society in recent times . This is be cause investment in cryptocurrency has been a very good way of saving money that will yield more profit long term. Despite the popularity most people don't know much about it, if adults lack the knowledge then our kids need to be taught about it. Will Forex and cryptocurrency be introduced in schools just like other subjects English, mathematics and chemistry.
This is my entry for hive learners weekly contest edition 1 . I will always stand for the path that says we teach our kids all they need to know about money on time ,there shouldn't be a particular time to introduce kids to money. It helps to shape their mind to be able to fit into the real world and then it lets them know that money is one thing that holds control and power in the society we live in. They need to understand the power and how money works to be able to succeed in life.
African mothers will always want to save money for us and they teach us money saving patterns like having our own little saving box just to put in our small savings. My mom would always say I know you love sweets and biscuits but what if you buy something that would last longer for you maybe a cloth , shoe or perfume and that is our parents way of teaching money saving skill.
Now if schools could add cryptocurrency and Forex to their curriculum . This would teach the students Morden ways to invest and save money. It's more about helping them to the way money can be managed and invested.
My 11 year-old nephew might not understand the profit margin , market charts and the losses in trading. But understanding the value that money holds in the basic ways matters a lot in the society without it distracting them from the main subjects they have learnt.
Most adults this day wake up and start up cryptocurrency and forex without making proper research and having enough information about it before going into it. And this is why most times they make the wrong investments and make big losses at the end of day . The painful losses hit hard and then also learning from those who barely understand the pros and cons of cryptocurrency and trading. When this happens we learn the hard way and it hurts so bad.
Children are naturally curious in nature and some are more adventurous than the others, schools should know when to tell their teachers to introduce this topic to their students . The difference subject we offer in school were gradually introduced to us as we progressed in class . That is the same way cryptocurrency and Forex should be gradually introduced not all at once but with gradual progression in the child's learning.
It doesn't mean that teaching them early will guarantee the best investment from them in the future, because cryptourrency Fluntuates and cannot be predicted . Adults struggle with it not minding by the kind of knowledge they have. But putting it out early to the kids early is helps create a solid foundation for short term and long term financial choices.
Mind you we shouldn't be out there trying to teach kids a way to get rich quick with crypto is the knowledge that matters. Rather we should teach them how to handle money more independently.
