Notice the blue feet. Maybe the most famous bird on the islands! I saw this bird on my second day. They are found on all the islands, so this was not the last I saw. It is rather big. Bigger than I had expected. Maybe 70-80 cm. high. It is ofcource the blue feet that are eye-catching, but it is said that its mating dance is very special.....something I didn't see since it was not the season. The Blu-Footed Booby is not unique to the Galapagos Islands. It is found in several places in the Pacific, but this one in the Galapagos is considered a subspecies.
