The Pleasure of a Morning Coffee
Waking up so early is no longer my habit because I'm retired; I only do it when I have important errands to run. But it is my habit to start my mornings with a good cup of coffee, nice and hot, with a fragrance that wafts into my blankets as I get up, since I program my coffee maker.
But today was different. I woke up very early and had to rush out the door; I had a doctor's appointment and wanted to be one of the first in line. And I was, except the doctor didn't arrive on time, and the wait was agonizing because I hadn't had my usual coffee, and my body was craving it. I don't usually drink it from street vendors in thermoses, so my appointment today kept me from my favorite beverage for a few hours.
Once I left the doctor's office, my immediate need was to savor a rich cup of coffee in a place that conveyed calm, and so I arrived at this cozy and restful environment, where the intense aroma of coffee lifted my spirits again; the desire to drink it was necessary.
I ordered a light brown coffee and my husband a dark brown. With each sip, I felt immense pleasure and satisfaction, because it fulfilled my anxiety; all my tension melted away, it was like a reward for the difficult morning I'd had.
I highly recommend this café; it's very well-known in our country. Besides coffee, they have pastries, bread, and other treats. The space is open yet very welcoming; you'll have a pleasant time, and the staff is very attentive. The bakery and pastry shop is located in the city center, in the Metrocenter Shopping Mall. It was great to recharge my batteries mid-morning; although I haven't mentioned my husband, he felt the same way I did.
