Hello gamers! I hope you're all doing well! My adventure in Hogwarts Legacy continues and this time around things are starting to pick up in the best way possible. If you remember from last time, I was just getting settled into the magnificent halls of Hogwarts, and now we're already diving deeper into the magic of this incredible wizarding world. In this occasion I'm reaching level 3, and let me tell you, the journey so far has been absolutely fantastic. So, without further ado, let's get into it!

So, this time around I'm heading to my second class here at Hogwarts, and man, the feeling of being a student at this legendary school never gets old, not even a little bit. Every time I walk through those corridors, past the moving portraits and all the magical little details scattered everywhere, I get completely absorbed by the atmosphere the developers created. This game truly captures what it feels like to be a young witch or wizard stepping into this world for the first time. The classes are a core part of the experience and they do a really great job of making you feel like you're actually learning something, not just going through the motions of a tutorial or something like that. It's immersive in a way that honestly blows me away, because you're not just playing a game, you're living inside the Wizarding World, and that's a pretty wild feeling.

Now here's where things get really exciting. I finally attend my first Charms class, and this is where I learn one of the most iconic and useful spells in the entire game: Accio. If you know anything about Harry Potter lore, you already know this spell well, and let me tell you, using it in the game feels just as satisfying as you'd imagine. Accio is a summoning charm that pulls objects and even enemies straight towards you, and it works beautifully. The way the game handles it is super clean, you point your wand, you cast, and things come flying right at you. It's one of those Force spells that becomes absolutely essential as you progress, whether you're in combat pulling enemies closer to finish them off, or you're out exploring and need to grab something that's way out of reach. I already love how it feels in my hands, and I can already tell this is going to be one of my go-to spells for a long time. The mini-game you have to complete to officially learn the spell is pretty straightforward, you trace a pattern with your wand before a red mist catches your cursor, but it definitely adds that little layer of challenge that keeps things interesting and makes you feel like you actually earned the spell.

After all that excitement with Accio, the next spell on the agenda is Reparo, and this one is a whole different kind of useful. So basically, to unlock Reparo I had to complete Professor Ronen's Assignment, which involves tracking down two flying books that are scattered around the school. You actually get to use Accio, the spell you just learned, to pull these sneaky little books towards you, which is a really cool little connection between the two spells that shows how the game builds on itself as you progress. Once you hand those books over to Professor Ronen, he teaches you the wand movement and boom, Reparo is yours.

Now, Reparo is what you'd call a Utility spell, and its job is simple but incredibly important: it repairs broken and damaged objects. We're talking about fixing broken bridges so you can cross them, mending destroyed paths, and restoring objects that are key to solving puzzles throughout the adventure. The thing is, not everything can be fixed with it, only objects that glow with a white outline when you target them are fair game, so you have to pay attention. And yes, before you ask, there are situations where it can come in handy during combat too, though mostly it shines in exploration and puzzle solving. It's one of those spells that you won't use every single second, but when you need it, oh trust me, you really need it.

Between classes and learning all these new spells, I've been taking some time to just explore Hogwarts itself, and gamers, this castle is something else. Every hallway, every room, every little corner has something going on, from secret passages to hidden chests to Field Guide Pages just waiting to be discovered. The level of detail the developers put into this place is truly impressive, and at level 3 we're still in the very early stages of everything, which means there's so much more to uncover. The game has a way of making you want to just stop and look around, take everything in, and enjoy the atmosphere before you even think about what your next quest is. It really feels like Hogwarts is alive, and that's something I haven't felt in a game like this in a long time.

Now, something that's been on my to-do list and that I absolutely cannot wait to get to is the Wand Shop, which is none other than the legendary Ollivanders located right in the heart of Hogsmeade. For anyone who grew up with Harry Potter, you already know how iconic this shop is, it's where every witch and wizard gets their very first wand, and in Hogwarts Legacy it's no different. When you finally step foot in there, Gerbold Ollivander himself is going to help you choose your wand, and you get to pick out the details, the wood, the core, the length, all of it. Now here's the thing though, and this is actually pretty interesting from a gameplay perspective: the wand you choose is purely cosmetic. It doesn't change how your spells work or make you stronger or weaker in any way. The cores available, Dragon Heartstring, Unicorn Hair, and Phoenix Feather, are all there for the lore and the immersion, which honestly makes it even cooler because you can just pick whatever feels right to you without stressing about min-maxing. But we'll be saving that whole adventure for a future post, because trust me, there's going to be a lot to talk about when we finally make that trip to Hogsmeade!

So gamers, that's where we're at for now! Level 3, two brand new spells under my belt with Accio and Reparo, and a whole lot of Hogwarts still left to discover. The game is shaping up to be an incredible adventure and I'm having an absolute blast every single minute of it. The classes are fun, the spells feel great to use, and the world just keeps getting more and more magical the deeper we go. I hope you enjoyed reading about this part of my journey through Hogwarts Legacy as much as I enjoyed living it. The Wand Shop visit is coming soon, so stay tuned for that! See you in the next post!
