Golem Overlord: Are you still playing?

I have been playing Golem overlord for awhile now and still enjoy the game. But the game has unfortunately not had any new updates bringing new gameplay. Thankfully the base game is well made and I am happy just playing that, I only wish the community was more active and bigger. As the game has seen a lot of players go inactive. But the main thing is the game is still available and in a playable state. Over time I have been able to continue to grow my account and move up the ranks. I can not deny that the games lower player base has helped, but still I have put in the work and turned up day in and day out to grind my way to where I am. So I guess that is my reward for being loyal to the game.

People sometimes drop into the Golem Overlord Discord and ask what is happening with the game. From what we have been told by Yinx "The game will continue as long as it pays for itself". I am not sure if the game is still paying for itself, but the game is still up so I assume it is. From what I understand there is no planned development for the game for now. So I would recommend that anyone playing it or looking to play it, do so with this in mind. At the end of the day if you like a game, you will play it. If you do not like it, do not play it. As far as spending or investing money into this game is concerned. I would view any money spent as a donation to the owner at this point. Unless something changes any investment into this game would be risky at best, considering the chance of development at this stage is unlikely.

As you can see from this screen shot that I took of my Guild, even my guild has been struggling for active members. Only our top 3 members are active and the 4th was last active five months. All other members have been inactive for over a year now.

My main reason for posting about this game again is to shine a light on it and hopefully encourage others to continue playing or new people to join the game. I know that I have not posted a pretty picture about the game. But I believe it to be a realistic view of how the game is going. Would I like the game to be in a better place? Yes, but the game is still playable and has not been shutdown yet, so in my book that is a win. Especially in the current economy, where web 3 games and even web 2 games are being shut down. It is great to see that Golem Overlord has been able to keep going.

Let me know your thoughts on the game. Should we give Golem Overlord another chance? Is it too late to save this game? Is the game good enough to keep us happy in it's current form?
