El Gran Teatro de la Habana "Alicia Alonso"/The Grand Theater of Havana "Alicia Alonso".

Hola amigos de Hive. Un placer volver estar con ustedes y compartir nuevas historias. El sábado salí a un encuentro con amigos del Esperanto. Como sabía que el lugar era propicio para fotografías llevé mi cámara. Al terminar la cita, decidí caminar y a mi paso me detuve a tomar fotos, a compartir con personas que encontraba y a pedir permiso en otros para poder hacer fotos. Siempre he querido hacer fotos al Gran teatro, por su belleza en la arquitectura.

Pero mi gran sorpresa fue que había una tur en este lugar del que podía participar. Que alegría sentí. Mi amiga y yo decidimos entrar, nos acompañó un guía que nos llevó por cada espacio del teatro. Este Teatro arquitectónicamente es uno de los iconos de la ciudad. Cada detalle, cada columna están decorado con estilo y mucho mucho amor. Se comenzó a construir en el 1834 por el arquitecto Antonio Mayo con un estilo ecléctico predominante, se inauguró en el 1838 y en sus inicios se le llamó El Teatro de Tacón. Es impresionante la belleza de éste teatro por fuera y por dentro.

En el 1906 fue demolido y en el 1907-1914 se construye el edificio actual por el arquitecto Belga Paul Belou con un estilo Barroco y renacimiento. Ahora es la sede del Ballet Nacional de Cuba por lo que lleva el nombre de nuestra icónica bailarina Alicia Alonso y también radica allí el centro Gallego. Todos los que allí visitan quieren hacerce una foto, y escogen junto a la bailarina.

El tur termina en la azotea del teatro donde todo es tan bello y quedan tan cerquita los angeles que desde abajo están inalcanzables.

Hello friends of Hice. It's a pleasure to be back with you and share new stories. On Saturday, I went to a meeting with Esperanto friends. Since I knew the place was great for photography, I brought my camera. After the meeting, I decided to walk around, stopping to take photos, chat with people I met, and ask permission from others to take pictures. I've always wanted to photograph the Gran Teatro (Great Theater) because of its beautiful architecture. But I was so surprised to find out there was a tour of the theater that I could join. I was so happy! My friend and I decided to go in, and a guide took us through every part of the theater. This theater is architecturally one of the city's icons. Every detail, every column is decorated with style and so much love. Construction began in 1834 by the architect Antonio Mayo in a predominantly eclectic style. It was inaugurated in 1838 and was initially called El Teatro de Tacón (The Heel Theater).The beauty of this theater is breathtaking, both inside and out. It was demolished in 1906, and the current building was constructed between 1907 and 1914 by the Belgian architect Paul Belou in a Baroque and Renaissance style. It is now the home of the National Ballet of Cuba, and as such, it bears the name of our iconic ballerina Alicia Alonso. The Galician Center is also located there.
