Essas fotografias são fragmentos do cotidiano urbano, capturados a partir de um caminhar atento pelas ruas da minha cidade. Não se tratam apenas de registros visuais, mas de observações silenciosas sobre como a cidade se constrói todos os dias através das pessoas, das marcas do tempo e dos pequenos gestos que passam despercebidos na rotina apressada.

The facades of the houses, often simple, bear signs of life: graffiti-covered walls, makeshift fences, rusty gates, padlocks, half-open windows. Elements that speak of protection, resistance, and adaptation. The city defends itself as best it can. The wall with shards of glass, the locked door, the sturdy fence—all this reveals a particular notion of security, created from the needs and experiences of those who inhabit the urban space daily.
As fachadas das casas, muitas vezes simples, carregam sinais de vivência: paredes pichadas, grades improvisadas, portões enferrujados, cadeados, janelas entreabertas. Elementos que falam sobre proteção, resistência e adaptação. A cidade se defende como pode. O muro com cacos de vidro, a porta trancada, a grade firme — tudo isso revela uma noção de segurança particular, criada a partir da necessidade e da experiência de quem vive o espaço urbano diariamente.

Among these buildings, human scenes emerge, bringing life to the streets. Workers resting for a few minutes, people sitting in the shade, vendors improvising their space. These are simple moments, but full of meaning. Moments that show that, despite the hardness of the concrete, the city is made of people. People who occupy, transform, and give new meaning to the urban space with their presence.
Entre essas construções, surgem cenas humanas que dão vida às ruas. Trabalhadores descansando por alguns minutos, pessoas sentadas à sombra, vendedores improvisando seu espaço. São instantes simples, mas carregados de significado. Momentos que mostram que, apesar da dureza do concreto, a cidade é feita de gente. Gente que ocupa, transforma e ressignifica o espaço urbano com sua presença.

Cultural symbols are also present. The Brazilian flag hanging on the facade of a house, the bus crossing the street, the numbers on the walls, the old architectural details. All of this reinforces the identity of the place and its inhabitants. These are marks that situate the work in time and space, without needing direct explanations. These photographs do not seek to idealize the city, but to present it as it is: imperfect, alive, marked by social, aesthetic, and human contrasts. The street, here, is both stage and character. A space where stories intersect without knowing each other, where each detail carries a memory, a use, an intention.
Símbolos culturais também se fazem presentes. A bandeira do Brasil pendurada na fachada de uma casa, o ônibus que atravessa a rua, os números nas paredes, os detalhes arquitetônicos antigos. Tudo isso reforça a identidade do lugar e de quem o habita. São marcas que situam a obra no tempo e no espaço, sem precisar de explicações diretas. Essas fotografias não buscam idealizar a cidade, mas apresentá-la como ela é: imperfeita, viva, marcada por contrastes sociais, estéticos e humanos. A rua, aqui, é palco e personagem ao mesmo tempo. Um espaço onde histórias se cruzam sem se conhecer, onde cada detalhe carrega uma memória, um uso, uma intenção.
