Hola artesanos y amantes de las manualidades ,como están ! Cómo los trata estos últimos días de enero? No les pasa que sienten que llevamos un año y apenas está concluyendo el primer del 2026 🤭, bueno por lo menos me ha servido el tiempo para hacer algunas cosas creativas durante este mes , y una de ellas es el post que les traigo hoy , resulta que mi tía antes de mudarse dejó en mi casa unas piezas de cerámica yo lo conocía como bizcochos de cerámica? , son de formas de frutas para decorar la cocina, y hace poco mi mamá los encontró y me pidió que lo pintara para decorar la cocina, compré unas pinturas acrílicas verde, amarilla,negro y rojo ,como principales para mezclarlos con otras de mis pinturas que ya tenía. Aquí les dejo las fotos del proceso pintando la cerámica del racimo de cambures como se dice en Venezuela, o bananos, bananas, guineos.

Hello artisans and craft lovers, how are you? How are these last few days of January treating you? Doesn't it feel like a year has passed and we're only just finishing the first month of 2026? 🤭 Well, at least I've had the time to do some creative things this month, and one of them is the post I'm bringing you today. It turns out that before moving, my aunt left some ceramic pieces at my house. I knew them as bisque terracotta pieces; they're fruit-shaped pieces for decorating the kitchen. Recently, my mom found them and asked me to paint them to decorate the kitchen. I bought some acrylic paints—green, yellow, black, and red—as the main colors to mix with some other paints I already had. Here are some photos of the process of painting the ceramic bunch of bananas (or plantains, as they're called in Venezuela).

#1 Para el paso uno primero borre unas marcas que tenía con lápiz , con el precio de la cerámica, (me dio risa que que eran de miles ,osea era de un cono monetario anterior y ya estamos por el mil de nuevo venezolanos entenderán de que hablo), con la pintura amarilla le di una capa a toda la pieza, y luego deje secar, una vez estuvo secó , volví a darle otra mano para dejar todo bien parejo.

#1 For step one, I first erased some pencil marks I had made with the price of the ceramic (it made me laugh that they were in the thousands, meaning it was from a previous currency and we're already back to the thousand again, Venezuelans will understand what I'm talking about). With the yellow paint, I gave the whole piece a coat, and then I let it dry. Once it was dry, I gave it another coat to make everything nice and even.

#2 Ya con las dos capas de pintura seca empecé a darle sombras y dimensiones, mezcle el rojo con amarillo creando un tono naranja muy clarito para darlo profundidad y que se vea el volúmen, también mezcle verde con amarillo para tener un tono más claro y darle algunas pinceladas a los cambures , y hice marron con naranja y negro para pintar la punta de las bananas y la parte del racimo , como ven las pinceladas son bastantes rústicas pero eso se arreglará después, también con un pincel fino ,hice las ranuras de cada pieza con marrón.

#2 Once the two layers of paint were dry, I started adding shadows and dimensions. I mixed red with yellow to create a very light orange tone to give it depth and volume. I also mixed green with yellow for a lighter tone to add some brushstrokes to the bananas, and I made brown with orange and black to paint the tips of the bananas and the bunch. As you can see, the brushstrokes are quite rough, but that will be fixed later. I also used a fine brush to make the grooves in each piece with brown.

#3 Agregando un capa nueva de amarillo en un pincel plano me sirvió para difuminar un poco esas pinceladas de colores que me sirvieron para darle volumen a la pieza y un aspecto más realista.Le di varias pasadas para difuminar los colores más sólidos y se vieran solo vetas de verdes y algo de color naranja en los extremos. Una vez secó, con el marrón que hice le dí otra mano a las puntas y al racimo, también las líneas de los cambures las oscurecí,y con un pincel fino casi con el pincel seco sin mucha pintura dí toquesitos a lo largo del lado izquierdo para darle el aspecto a las manchas que tiene la cáscara dela banana.

#3 Adding a new layer of yellow with a flat brush helped me soften the brushstrokes of color that I used to give the piece volume and a more realistic look. I applied several coats to blend the more solid colors, leaving only streaks of green and some orange at the edges. Once dry, I used the brown I had mixed to apply another coat to the tips and the bunch. I also darkened the lines of the bananas, and with a fine brush, almost using a dry brush technique with very little paint, I dabbed along the left side to give the appearance of the spots on the banana peel.

#4 Así quedó la hojita que usé de mantel para no ensuciar la mesa y que también me sirvió de paleta para mezclar los tonos que estaba usando. También agregue más manchitas marrones a la cáscara del cambur. Luego con pintura blanca agregue brillo en la parte derecha de cada pieza, para que se vea como si fuera el brillo y esto completa bastante la pintura para que sea todo más realista.

#4 This is how the little leaf I used as a tablecloth turned out, so I wouldn't dirty the table. It also served as a palette for mixing the colors I was using. I also added more brown spots to the banana peel. Then, with white paint, I added highlights to the right side of each piece, to give it a glossy look. This really completes the painting and makes it all look more realistic.

Por último tenía pigmentos dorados , y con un pincel le di algunos toques en en la partes más naranjas de los extremos, para darle un poquito de brillo, y también le di un poco de pinceladas con este pigmento a las puntas y al racimo. Y este es el resultado! 😍Lo amé, miren que no pensé que quedaría tan bien ya que no tenía tantos tonos de pinturas pero resolví mezclando , yo la verdad no tengo tanto conocimiento formal y técnico sobre pintura han sido más formado por tictoks y reals explicando el círculo cromático jajaj , realmente tengo que ponerme sería con aprender más sobre técnicas y realismo (este año sí 🖌️🤭) para mejorar.

Finally, I had some gold pigments, and with a brush, I added a few touches to the more orange parts at the ends to give them a little shine. I also added some brushstrokes of this pigment to the tips and the cluster. And this is the result! 😍 I loved it! I didn't think it would turn out so well since I didn't have that many paint colors, but I managed by mixing them. I don't really have much formal or technical knowledge about painting; my learning has come mostly from TikToks and real people explaining the color wheel, haha. I really need to get serious about learning more about techniques and realism (this year for sure 🖌️🤭) to improve.
