We're already in February, and it's my hope that your goals and plans for this year are achieved.
On this occasion, I'm sharing my visit to the artisan fair held as part of the "Noches de Antaño" (Nights of Yesteryear) celebration. This event commemorates the 510th anniversary of Cumaná, the first city founded in the Americas. It's an event with various activities, and of course, handicrafts are a key part of the celebration. During my visit to this beautiful exhibition, I saw a wide variety of handcrafted items. I couldn't take photos of many of them due to the crowds.
My first stop was at the table of clay crafts. These pieces are beautifully designed and mostly consist of kitchen utensils, including cups of various sizes and designs. The one that caught my eye the most was the one with the zigzag rim. There were also coffee cups with saucers, a lidded soup tureen, small pans, and other items. The clay utensils are decorated with white flowers. There are also teapots, glasses, and other kitchen items whose names I don't know.
Hola amigos artesanos y comunidad @hivediy, es placer saludarles deseo que tengan un una excelente y bendecida semana en unión de sus seres queridos, que el nuevo mes venga cargado de grandes bendiciones, amor ,salud y prosperidad en cada hogar, ya estamos en el mes de febrero, es mi anhelo que sus metas y planes para este año sean logrados.
En esta ocasión les comparto mi visita a la feria artesanal, realizada en la celebración de las Noches de Antaño, evento que conmemora el cumpleaños de Cumaná, primogénita del continente Americano, quién arribó a sus 510 años de fundación, es un evento donde se realizan diferentes actividades y las artesanías por supuesto forman parte de esta celebración; durante el recorrido que realicé por esta hermosa exhibición pude ver una gran variedad de trabajo artesanales, a muchos no les pude tomar fotos, debido a la cantidad de personas en el área.
Mi primera parada fue en la mesa de las artesanías con arcilla, estos trabajos tienen un hermoso diseño y constituyen en su mayoría utensilios para la cocina, entre ellos; tazas con variados tamaños y diseños, la que más llamó mi atención, fue la de los bordes en zigzag, también había tazas para tomar café con su respectivo platillo, sopera con tapa, sartenes pequeños, entre otros, los utensilios de arcilla están decorados con flores de color blanco; hay también teteras, vasos y utensilios propios de la cocina que desconozco su nombre.
In addition to the kitchen utensils, there were some beautiful clay boats. They had a blue rectangle at the bottom, representing the sea, and were painted white with red accents. They're ideal for hanging on the wall to decorate the living room or entryway.
There was also a beautiful display of wood and natural fibers. It was one of the most popular, and I only managed to take one picture. On this table were baskets of different sizes, boats and ships made of wood, and cars, including one very similar to the famous Mater from the TV series Cars. There was also a yellow truck with its cargo. Among these crafts was a beautiful doll sitting in one of the boats. The woodwork was beautiful and had an excellent finish. The paintwork was also very nice, and the cars looked realistic. Of the three I was able to photograph, my favorite was the one with the Venezuelan flag and a strong resemblance to the friendly Mater. The baskets were different sizes: small, medium, and large, with various weaving patterns: triangles, rectangles, and zigzags.
Además de los utensilios de cocina habían unos hermosos botes hechos también con arcilla, tenían rectángulo azul en la parte de abajo, que representa el mar y el bote pintado de color blanco con rojo, son ideales para colocar en la pared y decorar la sala o entrada de la casa.
Con madera y fibra natural también había una hermosa exhibición, fue una de las más concurridas y solo pude tomar una fotografía, en esta mesa habían cestas de diferentes tamaños, botes y barcos hechos con madera, autos entre ellos uno muy parecido al famoso Mate de la serie Cars, también un camión amarillo con su respectivo cargamento, entre estas artesanías había una hermosa muñeca sentada en uno de los botes, los trabajos con madera se ven hermosos y con un excelente acabado, la pintura también es muy bonita y los carros se ven realistas, de los tres que pude fotografiar mi favorito es el que tiene la bandera de Venezuela y un gran parecido al simpático Mate, las cestas son de diferentes tamaños; pequeñas, medianas y grandes, con variados patrones de tejido, triángulos, rectángulos y zigzag.
The last stop was at the fabric crafts station. Here we saw beautiful little angels in spheres, with yarn hair, white and red stars, and hearts, as well as charming rag dolls, nativity scenes, keychains, musical instruments, and a wide variety of dolls in different sizes.
There were also beautiful gnomes with eye-catching hats, mini dolls, and plush toys from animated series like Tweety Bird. The last table had a beautiful display of nativity scenes made of ceramic. The colors were gorgeous. This table had the necessary figures to assemble the nativity scene, animals like a camel, a mule, and an ox. I liked it for its beautiful silver color and the gold lines that gave it a special shine. It was a lovely tour of this beautiful craft fair. Choosing a favorite is difficult because all the pieces are beautiful. You can tell that the artisans put effort and dedication into each of these works of art that represent the customs, traditions, and economic activities of the region: fishing, tourism, and others.
La última parada fue en la estación de manualidades hechas con tela, aquí vemos hermosos angelitos en esferas, con cabellos de estambre, estrellas blancas y rojas al igual que corazones, también las simpáticas muñecas de trapo, nacimientos, llaveros instrumentos musicales y una gran variedad de muñecas en diferentes tamaños.
También hermosos gnomos con llamativos gorros, mini muñecas y peluches de las series animadas como Piolín, la última mesa tenía una hermosa exhibición de nacimientos hechos con cerámica, los colores son hermosos, esta mesa tenía los personajes necesarios para armar el nacimiento, animales como camello, mula y buey, me gustó por su hermoso color plata y las líneas doradas que le dan un brillo especial, fue un lindo recorrido por esta hermosa feria artesanal, elegir un favorito es difícil porque todos los trabajos están hermosos se nota que los artesanos pusieron empeño y dedicación en cada una de estas obras de arte que representan las costumbres tradiciones y actividades económicas de la región; pesca turismo, entre otros.
