Greetings dear sewing lovers, I hope you are feeling wonderful and are having a great start of the week. Today I finally got around to doing something I'd been wanting to do for a while, which was to make some patterns. I wanted to have the patterns in order on paper so I could start working that way, so I started with the basic patterns for blouses. These are patterns for blouses made with stretch fabric, so they are easier to make. I looked them up on the internet and traced them onto paper. The blouse I was going to make was for my sister, but it turned out so beautiful that I wanted to keep it for myself đź¤. I will be making other models soon, so... Come with me to see the process.
Para realizar este proyecto utilicé:
- Tela microdurazno
- Hilo a tono
- Tijera
- Cinta métrica
- Alfileres
- Máquina de coser
To make this project I used:
- microdurazno fabric
- Matching thread
- Scissors
- Tape measure
- Pins
- Sewing machine
Paso a paso || Step to step
The first step was to spread out the fabric folded twice, that is, four layers of fabric, in order to cut the two pieces at once. For the front, we need two pieces that are the same as the back because this blouse is lined. We are also going to count two sleeves following the patterns and leaving a 1 cm seam allowance.
To assemble the blouse, I placed the two front pieces facing each other and sewed the neckline area and the outline of the blouse. Then I inserted one piece inside the other, right sides together, and aligned the seams. We will sew the shoulders and sides as shown in the photos, and then we will remove the pieces that are already joined. When we turn the pieces over, the blouse will be almost ready. All that's left is to attach the sleeves to the armholes, which are sewn first, and then we pin them to the armholes to sew them on. To be honest, making this blouse didn't take me any time at all. I made it super fast, and the result was spectacular. I hope you liked this post. If you made it this far, thank you so much for reading. See you later! ❤️
