    Hello Hive

A pleasant afternoon to all my friends and creative minds in the community. I hope that our Monday is coming on well and that we aren't getting choked up with work already?

Every Monday is needlework o'clock like you all know and if you take a look at the community you will see the beautiful lineups that is already coming in. In line with that I want to share with us the step by step process I had followed go sew this beautiful flair dress for my friends mum. She wants to use the dress for a Thanksgiving service in church.

Having gotten the fabric from her and taking her measurements, I started making these by cutting the lower part of the dress here folding it into a cone shape to give me a 180° flair.

I did cut the lining in a similar manner here as well

Next is the upper bodice, I had cut both the front and back block of the upper bodice here

And then moved on with the cutting of the sleeves. The sleeve is a two part sleeve consisting of a straight fitted bodice of the sleeve and a lover base. Here is how I had cut both of them

I started the journey of stitching the outfit by turning in the neckline of the upper block first

The joining it with the back block and sleeves

The next step was the joining of the upper block to the lower flair part which I had already turned in with it's own lining too.

Next I continued with the process of attaching this white embellishments lace on the style line as I have cut a princess bustier style line for the dress.

I checked out the best position where the lace can stay well fitted on the dress.

The lace materials was not enough for the both sleeve needing that I purchase some to complete this sleeve. Alot of people commended the beauty of the design and how that the white lace fitted it very well

But when I sent a picture of the dress to my friends mum via WhatsApp she outrightly told me of how she doesn't like the white lace embellishments that If I could change that to something else or another form of Design.

Right now I am still bewildered at why someone would love something as beautiful as this. I'm throwing this to the community, what do you my friends think that I can use to embellished this fabric and the design that I have sewn because right now I am short of ideas.
