En las tiendas de tela siempre las vamos a encontrar clasificadas por sus usos, pero quién dice que es el único uso que les podemos dar? 😊 , es por esto que hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una idea para hacer un lindo mono con tela de cobija, acompáñame y te comparto el paso a paso:

In fabric stores, we always find them classified by their uses, but who says that's the only use we can give them? 😊 That's why today I want to share with you an idea for making a cute jumpsuit from blanket fabric. Join me and I'll share the step-by-step instructions:

Cuándo me piden alguna prenda de vestir, siempre sugiero ir con la persona hasta la tienda, ya que hay telas que no me gusta coserlas, así como hay algunos tipos de tela, los cuales mi máquina no los cose, entonces prefiero asegurarme de qué la tela sea apropiada tanto para mis máquinas como para la prenda que voy a hacer, la chica que me pidió la confección de este mono le gusta mucho el personaje de Kuromi, entonces fuimos hasta el área donde están las telas de cobija y había una con el estampado de este personaje muy linda, ella me dijo que si era posible hacer el mono con esta tela y por supuesto le dije que sí, que las telas solamente tenían una sugerencia para lo que las puedes utilizar, pero no necesariamente es obligado usarlas para eso, todo está en la creatividad que le pongas a la costura, en mi caso con la tela de cobijas, he hecho suéteres, hasta un vestido le hice a mi hija más pequeña, hace tiempo y las prendas quedan hermosas, así que manos a la obra, aquí les dejo la lista de materiales a utilizar :

• 1,25 m de tela de cobija
• cinta métrica
• Tijeras
• Patrón, o alguna prenda que te sirva como guía
• Hilo
• Máquina de coser

When someone asks me to make a garment, I always suggest going to the store with them. There are some fabrics I don't like sewing, and some types of fabric my machine can't sew. I prefer to make sure the fabric is suitable for both my machines and the garment I'm going to make. The girl who asked me to make this jumpsuit really likes the character Kuromi, so we went to the blanket fabric section. There was a really cute one with a Kuromi print. She asked if it was possible to make the jumpsuit with this fabric, and of course I said yes. I explained that the fabrics only have a suggestion for what you can use them for, but you're not obligated to use them for that. It all depends on your creativity. In my case, I've made sweaters with blanket fabric, and I even made a dress for my youngest daughter a while ago, and the garments turn out beautifully. So, let's get started! Here's the list of materials you'll need:

• 1.25 m of fabric Blanket
• ​​Measuring tape
• Scissors
• Pattern, or a garment to use as a guide
• Thread
• Sewing machine

Vamos a comenzar colocando nuestra tela sobre la mesa doblada a la mitad por el lado del revés, en este caso, la tela de cobija es como más peluditas y suave por el lado del revés, voy a guiarme con un mono de una de mis hijas, el cual me pareció perfecto el tamaño, dibujo la parte delantera, dejando algunos centímetros en la parte superior para darle la inclinación hasta la parte de atrás.

Luego dibujo todo el contorno de piernas y dejó un excedente de 4 cm aproximadamente para el ruedo, hago algunas marcas en el centro para ubicar la tela cuando vaya a dibujar la parte de atrás, dobló el mono por el cual me estoy guiando y lo coloco para dibujar la parte de atrás de este mono, luego corto, empezando por la parte delantera, al terminar de cortar por el entrepiernas comparo con el entrepierna de la parte de atrás para que tenga la misma forma y el mismo largo, le doy una inclinación de 3 cm desde el tiro de atrás hasta el tiro de adelante.

Let's begin by placing our fabric on the table, folded in half with the wrong side facing out. In this case, the blanket fabric is fuzzier and softer on the wrong side. I'm going to use one of my daughters' rompers as a guide, since the size seemed perfect. I'll draw the front piece, leaving a few centimeters at the top to create the slope towards the back.

Then I'll draw the entire leg outline, leaving an extra 4 cm for the hem. I'll make some marks in the center to help me position the fabric when I draw the back piece. I'll fold the romper I'm using as a guide and place it on the table to draw the back piece. Then I'll cut, starting with the front. After cutting through the crotch, I'll compare it to the crotch of the back piece to ensure it has the same shape and length. I'll create a 3 cm slope from the back crotch to the front crotch.

Al tener ya la tela cortada, vamos a proceder con las costuras, esta tela es importante pasarle overlock o zig zag en las orillas, ya que se va hilachando con facilidad y así aseguramos de que no se descosa, unimos con costura por el tiro delantero, luego por el tiro de atrás, luego unimos por el entrepiernas, comenzando desde el centro hasta la bota

Now that the fabric is cut, we'll proceed with the sewing. It's important to overlock or zigzag the edges of this fabric, as it frays easily, and this will ensure it doesn't come undone. We'll sew the front crotch seam, then the back crotch seam, and then the inseam, starting from the center and working down to the leg opening.

Para el ruedo, le pasé Overlook en la orilla, y luego le pasé costura recta, doblando aproximadamente centímetro y medio, ya para finalizar vamos a colocar el elástico en la cintura, para esto medimos la cintura de la persona. En mi caso a la chica le mide 100 cm, así que el elástico lo cortaré de 90 cm lo uno con costura haciendo un aro y luego ubico en la cintura del mono para pasarle costura, en la orilla le paso Overlook y luego doblo y le paso costura recta, y así ya está listo este lindo mono con tela de cobija.

For the hem, I overstitched the edge, then sewed a straight stitch, folding over about a centimeter and a half. Finally, we'll attach the elastic to the waistband. To do this, we measure the person's waist. In my case, the girl's waist is 100 cm, so I'll cut the elastic to 90 cm. I'll sew it to make a loop and then position it around the waist of the jumpsuit to sew it in place. I overstitch the edge, then fold it over and sew a straight stitch. And that's how this cute jumpsuit made from blanket fabric is finished!
